Okay, so bought followers are basically fake.

Is it a bad idea to buy any followers on an account you are hoping to do shoutouts on? Or do you go 100% organic on your entire account?

I ask because I'm at around the 1.5k mark right now and want more followers so I can start selling ASAP. However, I don't want to lower my reach significantly. Right now, at only 1.5k followers, I'm getting around 75 to 200 likes per post.

Anyone have any experience with this? Should I buy a handful of followers? Many followers? None?

It's bad to buy fake followers. People want shoutouts from active accounts not from accounts full of fake followers

Dont buy any followers to try and sell shout outs it'll be painfully obvious that you have fake followers and even if you do get a sell they wont be happy when when they get 100 likes and a few followers

Seems the general consensus is never buy fake followers.

Funny because a lot of IG shoutout sellers look like they have fake followers. LOL.

As stated, its pretty obvious when you have bought followers, the ratio is just so bad most the time....

Well if you buy followers you'll more likely to get organic followers as when people see a profile with lots of followers, they're more likely to follow you.
But don't buy followers and sell shoutouts when you don't have many organic followers

They have fake/inactive followers and that just make their account worst. You can see on the fitness niche accounts with 200k followers and just getting around 2k likes

I think this advice makes the most sense overall. I am averaging around 75 to 150 likes per post on 1.5k followers. I could maybe get more followers with more already in the account but I don't ever plan on buying more than a few k to get the account moving.

Well, I'm averaging 200+ on each picture on my 1.5k account without any fakes. Some pictures even have 300+. :)

Anyway, in the long term it's not good to have fake followers. I've seen many accounst with fake followers selling shoutouts, but after a while people learn about it and won't be buying anything.

Example: buysellshoutouts website, almost all the accounts there have fake followers and people have realized that and are spreading bad words about them, so yea..

Remember - "You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."

lol what kind of question is that? don't dilute your shit. Grow it organically and offer value.

There are people who sell legit followers (they basically do shout outs on all their accounts) but I would never buy fake followers. Otherwise you may have complications in the future with your buyers.

I don't see buying 1-5k followers to get an account going a problem. Eventually once you get enough organic followers you'll cover that spread pretty easily. But I wouldn't pour fake followers/likes into an account constantly that you plan to sell shoutouts with.
