I have read some conflicting information on buying expired blogs. Some people say t hat if you buy an expired blog and change the content to the niche that suits your money site, the expired blog will lose it's PR. Some say only look for expired blogs in your niche. because you need the content to be relevant to the your money site.

Well in my niche, I have seen one expired blog with PR in the past two weeks. So, what do I do in this case?

    1. Buy a site and change the content to my niche?
    2. Leave the content the same and just add a link to money site even though the content doesnt match?

    Thanks

Not true at all. Finding expired domains in your niche will be extremely hard, would dramatically limit people from building PBNs. Plenty of people are ranking money sites using expired domains with a ton of different backlinks. Your best bet is domains with branded backlinks, as they are not "relevant" to any one niche/set of keywords.

OP, if you could find some expired domains in your niche then just go for it as it will be helpfull in one way or the other.

I have used expired domains and have found little or no real results. It may work for some if they are pretty choosy on taking expired domains from their niche itself

    This.

I see sites ranking all of the time with unrelated BL profiles on their PBN's.
I don't think the algorithm is smart enough to automatically figure out if they are related or not yet, or if it is, its not penalizing people for it, (from what I have seen). However, manual review might be a different story....

So you guys are saying take the domains I want regardless of niche, leave the content the same and link to my money site.

    Thanks

Pretty much although if you can find general sites like personal blogs (where they discuss a bunch of topics) or news sites, you can easily link to any niche
