Hey there bhwers, i found a cool service that handles shipping from the US to italy, and since i leave in the pizza country and the $/€ change is in my favor, i decided that i wanted to buy something (the company is high trusted and well known in the italian market, so no problem at all with them). Now, a needed a new phone since my last N73 is almost dead, and i found a cool adv on craigslist for an iphone 4. The owner sent me some screenshots of the IMEI, S/N and stuff: the iphone is still on guarantee and into the image properties i saw that there were the gps coordinates of the place where they'd been taken (the pictures were shot by another iphone 4). I fired up google maps and found that the guy actually live where he's claiming; he then left me a mobile phone number, and with a fast lookup i saw he's really from there (sacramento). He should ship the package from sacramento to miami, cause the italian company resides there. I think i'll look for a shipping which i could actually track, so leave me any suggest please. So what? you might asking. The fact is that i can't see the phone by myself. He claims it has no scratches and it works 100%. I've just told him to record a brief video which proves the iphone works, and he told he'll do it as soon as he gets home. I'm gonna send the payment via Paypal, no way i'm using something else (well actually Paypal is the only payment processor i'm using). So, what should i do to save my ass from scams or the risk to receive an empty box lol? I mean, how could i hope to win a dispute if i need to open it cause the object was faulty/broken/not corresponding to what he said etc? We dealt via email, so i got everything he said (iphone is mint, screenshots given, video given etc etc). Should i ask him to DECLARE something? Help me out! I've dealt outside of my boot-shaped country only once via ebay to buy some electronic stuff, but hey with ebay you can almost trust somebody by closing your eyes and just see the feedbacks! Cheers !
