I'm interested in buying an adsense site on flippa.

this forum won't let me post a link to it, so I will just tell you it's the sale for gordan ramseys recipes

Anyway, moving on. I don't have an Adsense account yet.

I've heard they can be difficult to obtain and that google are very tight on what they will allow.

Is it risky to buy an established adsense site on flippa (like this one) without actually having an account yet? What if they don't approve me.

I've read their rules on copyrighted material and a bit worried that Gordan Ramsey may own the copyright to his own name and in which case this site would be in breach of that copyright.

Does anyone have any advice for this utter newbie?

Good question. The site is selling his recipes. I shall ask this question on the auction = thanks!

But in general, if there were no copyright confliction issues - would you recommend buying an adsense site on flippa and applying for the adsense account afterwards? or would you go about it differently? if so - how?

    Thanks

I wouldn't buy a domain like that with a famous chef's name in it. Too risky for your first purchase IMO.

OK - thanks for the advice. But if I find a different site to buy (one that does not have copyright issues) do you think it's safe to buy and then apply for Adsense afterwards?

AdSense is a bit tricky to get around ., you may want to check the current page rankings and backlinks , if you think it is feasible then certainly go for it . Some times you may need to modify the current structure to integrate ads .

My advice is DON'T purchase a website with Adsense on it thinking you'll get approved for Adsense using that site. The large majority of the time you'll get denied. Google has different rules for new adsense accounts and established adsense accounts. You'll find established accounts are given a lot more leeway on affiliate sites.

I've had sites I collected adsense on for years and sold a couple to a friend of mine that didn't have adsense. He was rejected twice with vague reasons using those same sites on his application. I tossed him a 20 post site together that was ugly but had all unique content and he was approved without an issue. He waited a few months and put his adsense on the two old sites with no issues.

I'm actually in the same boat as you (kinda)... Although I decided in my wisdom to plunge $500 into 13 MNS on through a BST seller.

Sites are all finished and looking good, but after two attempts at getting an account I've been rejected twice. As a previous reply just mentioned, they give a really vaigue reason and there's NO way to contact them. As far as I can see, there's good content and they tick the box on their TOS etc. I can only think that it's because they are brand new sites.

It's a bloody shame though, because I know I'm missing out on coin!

Right now though, I've purchased a service from a fellow user here that will supply me with an Adsense account. If you want to PM I'll give you his details.

I have to same problem too, i bought a site for 11000 dollars, the site looks good and there are 120.000 visitors each month. The guy who sold it to me made 1000 dollars a month with adsense on the site.

But i am not sure if adsense will accept me cause there are the words: apple TV 3 in the domain.
What do you think about it? Should i trie or should i applie with another site.

    thanks in advance

Watch yourself when it comes to buying adsense sites on flippa.

Lots of people game that site selling wonderful adsense sites, but a month later, theyre not making any bucks. You have to ask for lots of proof. The key is to go in knowing you may lose your money.

I dont think buying adsense sites on flippa is a good. Adsense has different policy for existing users and new uers. The rules are very restricted in adsense now. Adsense will approve if your site has good content in it.
