Buying a previously registered domain name

Hello, I have a 4 letter domain name. transfer protection, deletion protection, update protection all passive. It expires after 33 days. A 16 year domain name I want to buy this when it runs out. What should I do so that no one else gets it?
 
Advertise on BHW
No way to guarantee that others won't buy it. Some registrars sell back registration services but it's not guaranteed either. Only way to guarantee it is register it as soon as it's available.

I get it, I've read some stuff about this before. That's why I wanted to ask.
