Buying a Domain for Tumblr any Safer?

    Is a Tumblr any safer of not getting banned with having a domain name registered, or it doesn't matter?
    Next Question...
    Monetizating with plugrush is it safer with a domain..

    I would figure it doesn't matter and tumblr will ban you rather you have a domain or not just would like to know if
    any other people have experience with this sort of thing..

    The only thing a domain name does, is change the tumblr.com/xxx to blabla.bla. The Site itself still has to be compliant with the tumblr TOS.

    Doesn't matter with or without domain. Use Tumblr as a traffic source and send the visitors to your self-hosted website with Plugrush running on it.

    You can use your own domains for Tumblr, otherwise you will get banned. The another thing which is monetizing with plugrush is not safe bcoz it wouldn't allow tumblr....

    Using your own domain does not prevent you being banned. As already said, you must still comply with the Tumblr TOS which is a lot stricter since Yahoo bought it.
