Buying a 2nd computer in 1 hr- tell me if this is a good deal

that's not a bad deal. i have seen cheaper but that is not bad.

That sounds ok for normal day to day use. But if you were planning on using video editing software or planning on playing games on it, you would need to purchase a graphics card.

not too shabby. HDD is a little small. What is the RAM on the machine? Is it just the tower? What mobo? Onboard Video? If I could get even more information I could tell you if it is a good deal :P

There are a lot of things that could make this a good deal...and a lot that would make it not a good deal. so please list the ram, video card, motherboard, etc...

Kaspersky is free all over the place for a year. Just hit a trade show and they throw them at you :P

whats da mobo model? make sure it supports DDR2 ram and has at least 1gig of it installed..

I need to use this or office-like activities, producing music, and of course gaming.

Thanks for the advice about the mobo Abhii i will be sure to check.

Is the CPU stated in the OP a dual core?

no its not dual core most likely its HT(Hyper threading) but check - because if its not HT than its on socket 478 and then its a very bad deal .

No, it's not dual

I don't expect it to have a very good grapics card in it. gaming wise your not going to be able to play any new games out thats for sure.

Its a decent deal if it comes with a monitor, otherwise not really

What do you mean by it's a beast?

What do you mean by it's a beast?
307GHz is a VERY fast processor. Well...it is so fast it is not created yet :P

3.07GHz is a decent CPU, however, its not being dual core means that it cannot handle gaming very well on any new games.
It not having a graphics card will seriously hinder any gaming you are looking to do as well.
RAM, I do not know how much you have, so I would say that without a minimum of 2GB RAM (Being of DDR2 or greater) would be a start for this machine you want.
Does it come with a monitor? If so what type?

A lot more information will be needed to get an honest mark on this PC.

Normal price for something brand new name brand. Not the best for your money though.

Name brand shit is always over-priced.
