One of my buyers ordered 14 quantities of my item.
I put in the order to ship out 14. The buyer has contacted me
saying that they received the package and everything appeared
good (no damage to the box) but found only 3 inside the box
    instead of 14.

I checked the tracking and tracking shows the weight of the package
    was 3.75 pounds.

Each item weighs 0.24 lbs x 14 = 3.36 pounds (the extra weight coming
    from probably the shipping box).

If this buyer decides to open a case on me claiming they only received 3
but tracking shows the weight as 3.75 pounds total (each item weighing
0.24 lbs), would ebay favor me or does ebay not give a @@@@ about it
and just give the case to the buyer?

I think this buyer is flat out lying! There's no way they only had 3 in the box
if the weight of the package was 3.75 pounds and each item only weight 0.24 lbs.

Just show them as much proof as possible, PayPal will work with you as long as you remain even headed and dispute everything with facts

So the buyer sends me two photos I requested about 2 days later (took that long to take a photo??) and the problem is for whatever reason on ebay, photos sent always appear very small, almost thumbnail size-like. I can't read the sticker label so I ask the buyer again to send the original photo because it's 2017 and I'm sure that every camera or phone now takes pictures at MINIMUM 2 megapixels....most cameras easily take 6-8MP at default. The buyer tells me that he thinks his wife threw out the box. I told him, if you are disputing a shipment order, why would you throw the box away? You should always leave it AS IS if it is in dispute. Now I'm really suspecting this guy is trying to scam me. Tracking shows the weight at 3.75 pounds. His claim of only 3 items received out of 14 ordered, would weigh 0.78 pounds. It doesn't match up.
