    Hi,

After selling some bitcoins to a buyer on eBay, he chargeback me, so after submiting all document proof's I have, Paypal doesn't take it seriously at all since there is no seller protection, and your ass will be kicked by him!!

They chargeback me a fee of $10.00, but the problem, eBay doesn't do anything about that at all. they keeped their commission and whatever it happens to you, they don't care.

I reported the buyer on eBay that he scammed me and I contacted him that all document proof's, IP address, will be reported, and I will contact all sellers to not deal with u again!

What do I do now guys?

Do I have to report him and keep talking with Paypal about this situation?

Welcome to the world of credit card transactions.
No matter which payment gateway you use you will have to deal with this shit.
I don't know how you got the fee as low as $10 - I always get charged $20 per chargeback I lose on PayPal.

F**k that!!! A lot of scammers out there!!!

The issue is, Paypal messaged me that they debited $$$ from my account, and the case is not closed yet, since they should contact the bank about this.

If the BANK say "yes", we have to kick his ass, so paypal may debit more from me, more than 10.00$
if the BANK say "no", so I will get my money back!!

The BANK controls everything when it comes to Credit card transactions!! that's what I learned today from them.

Are you selling digital goods like me on eBay?

Yeah, it's the king when it comes to intangible items + credit card transactions.

I think I will try to add a tangible item + xx BTC as a bonus. with terms: Exact amount of bitcoins will be released to the buyer after he/she received the item and he/she confirmed that the item is fully delivered. this can be a good idea!!

I called PayPal when they did a chargeback fee on me and I said that they're a payment processor and not a bank, they can't charge me for that (this is just something I said, not necessarily true). The person on the phone reversed the charged. Could also be because I've been a member for over 10 years. Always call and bitch on the phone because there's a chance you'll get your money back.

    Thanks for valuable info!

I will try to call them, no matter what, I've never got a chargeback from Paypal for more than one year in the business!
This is the first time a buyer opened a dispute, but I will try to do my best so even if they close the case in favor of buyer, I will fight to get my $10 back!!

The problem is that the buyer paid with credit card, not paypal balance, no matter what, Paypal will contact the bank, and apply for their decision!!

I will kick the buyer ass because of this shit!! wasting time for nothing!! really sad.

I have an idea in my mind, and I think it may help to prevent such a bad situation like that!

I'm going to sell a tangible product (USB, bitcoin paper waller, something that cost cheap!) and provides xxBTC as a BONUS! and write in terms that Bitcoins will be released to the buyer account once he/she confirmed that the item is fully delivered!! so with this way I can minimize the fraud, but i'm not 100% sure if there is any demand!!

What's your thoughts on this method?

Thanks for that! I've checked methods used by some sellers, 80-90% of them doesn't requires any documentation (risk of fraud), and 20% of them reuires ID verification, few of them selling tangible items + BTC as a BONUS!! that's what I recommend for my self!

I will mail the buyer with a letter /bitcoin paper wallet with tracking number, and he had to confirm that he received the item, then release the BTC.

Are u selling bitcoins as well on ebay?

Of course the issuing bank controls the outcome.
This is the difference between having a merchant account and simply using a payment gateway like PayPal. PayPal is not really gonna do much to fight on your behalf - unless you got some really conclusive proof (don't even know what that would be) then you will probably lose the case.

Especially if the buyer has reported the charge as fraudulent/unauthorized - in that case your odds of winning are zero.

I have yet to win a chargeback case through PayPal - my product is virtual and doesn't cost me anything to deliver so I usually just accept the loss in the case of a chargeback.

Pro tip: only way to sell Bitcoin and Dogecoin safely via PP is to make the payment a GIFT.

Second pro tip: Reddit is much better to sell your cryptos than Ebay.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for valuable info! I appreciate that :)

Does sending money as a gift on Paypal protect me from unauthorized payments? payment with credit cards, or I have to ask the buyer to pay with his/her balance?

If you consider losing $10 an "expensive lesson" then you should be a very very thankful man...
