So I'm in the market to buy relevant links with some higher PR to my well established website. It appears that most are selling links to some old dropped domain that they slapped a themed blog and feeds on.

Look at this site as an example: aularius dot com
It's a PR 5 site and the dude wants $100 for a blogroll for a year.

And after seeing numerous sites/offers like this, I started wondering if maybe I should build some of these? What do you guys think? Is it worth the effort? Is there a service that pretty much auto-does all this?

    Thank you!

Make sure to check if it's a fake pagerank. You can do this in SB and I think there are tools online to do it also.

I personally wouldn't buy links off of it. As you said, the blog looks crappy besides the PR. To me, I don't think Google just says "okay, this site is crap but is pr5, so let's just give him tons of link juice."

If you make your own, check GoDaddy auctions for cheap ones. Also don't have the two blogs interlinked on the same IP (duh).

That site sucks, I wouldn't pay for links from there. Paid links can work great but if you're forking out cold hard cash, do it for links on sites that are actually decent.

For that $100 you could buy Scrapebox plus a couple of other cheap programs and make about 10,000 times the number of links.

Buying site wide links (ie blogroll) is a bad idea - a lot of people including me feel that site wides get discounted. If you're going to be paying, you're better off buying posts (and linking to your sites from within the posts) or individual links on high traffic / PR pages that are super relevant.
