I have a great idea, I think anyways, for a brand (Clothing, Mainly Shirts).

The thing is, I don't know how to go about making it so no one else can steal the idea. Not sure about how to copyright/trademark something.

If anyone can explain how to go about it I would appreciate it.

I searched google and got a few sites but everything seems very technical that I have read and don't really understand how all of that stuff works.

If I find the right person to help me out I am willing to pay for it.

    Thanks!

I have done a few copyrights and there is some work involved in them but it is not too bad once you understand the process. Go to "copyright.gov" for the process. Use the online submission it is much quicker than the mailed process.

As for trademark go to "uspto.gov" for the submission process.

I have talked to some of the experts in this field and they try to make it sound harder than it is. If you want an attorney try legalzoom, they are one of the cheaper ones out there, but do your own homework on that.

    Good luck!

Alright thanks for that! I'll check out legalzoom. Seen a couple commercials for that actually.
