First of all I would like to introduce myself, I am Burger King and I am currently enrolled in college in the USA. I have been on this forum, as well as other forums like this learning IM and SEO techniques for around 4 years maybe. I only ever built one site, which I never really put any effort into in those 4-ish years. This is mostly because I was always looking for "instant gratification" so I would do surveys or write articles to earn maybe $500 a year. Not much at all, but I realize if I would have started my own website 3-4 years ago and stuck with it, then I would be living a different lifestyle than I do today. So I realized no better time to start than now then right?

I have started a journal like this before, I got to $20 a day for about 5 days, but it kind of fell through, because none of that income was sustainable, it was all a one time profit, I never really started anything. I already have started a website though so this time is different, and I am sticking to it this time!

My goals right now are to get
-$50/Day for at least 10 straight days
    - A "toolbox" of SEO tools, like scrapebox, and UNF
    - At least 3 sustainable review website with outsourced content and SEO

I plan to do this with journey Amazon review sites, gathering traffic by writting unique content, and making unique youtube videos. Tying it all together with backlinks, facebook likes, and various other methods that I haven't though of yet?

I already purchased a domain and hosting 2 weeks ago, and have been working a little everyday on it since. This is my first WP site, and I am a designer, so I have been trying to make this site look at least decently good. But ran into many problems with the layout being to complicated. What I want it to look like is way beyond what I know how to do with Wordpress. Because of that I got very frustrated the last week and didn't really work on the site. But I have pretty much figured everything out now, and I am ready to start writing content, and making youtube videos.

I have a part time-ish job working about 25-30 hours a week that ends soon, and then I am going back to school for the summer, but that shouldn't matter. I will keep track of my time spent working on this everyday, and will try to get 8 hours a day focused on this journey. I'll post screenshots of the time my timer is at everyday.

If there is anything I learned from my time lurking on these forums is that instead of reading 15 methods on how to make something work, just try it out for yourself and see what happens. I also learned that the number one key to this is sticking to it and don't quit. I truly do have the desire to make a successful website and I am looking forward to the learning process and development that comes along with it!

So wish me luck, and give me some support!

    Day 1/2
Okay so I have worked 3 1/2 hours the past day and a half, and I kind of got somewhere I guess. I am still coming up with ideas on how I am going to run this site, and there are so many different ways to do it posted here on BHW that I am getting overwhelmed by it, and I can't stay focused on one thing. I really am just going to try and focus on writing quality content reviews, and videos, and hoping google will send me enough traffic to convert some sales.
However, I have started a twitter, and facebook page. I plan to post 3-5 updates to these a day. I don't really know how I'll be getting followers or likes any suggestions?

I wrote an article posted it, and am still trying to figure out how to make it look good. FYI I am using WPzonbuilder to basically get a template down, because I like how it looks, I then write my own content and put it inplace of what WPzonbuilder posts. So that way there is no duplicate content and it still looks legit.

    What I plan on doing:

    - Write an article every 2 days and post it
    - Find best software to make videos with, and make one every 2 days
    - Tweet, and Post something on facebook 4-5 times a day, and somehow gather likes and followers?
    - Get points on youlikehits, enhanceviews, and addmefast
    - research best Backlink strategy?

Again I am still very much overwhelmed by everything and setting it up, but hopefully once I get past this stage and figure everything out I will just be able to grind out articles and videos. I really hate not knowing how I am going to do something honestly. I think I just need to set down some concrete steps to follow everyday, and then things will naturally work its way out. SHould I be focusing on Socialmedia this early in the game, or should I just focus on content and videos? Any tips?

I don't know why everybody use the same tactics. Guys, if you wanna kill with Amazon, facebook is the way to go. If I had time to play with Facebook this time next year I would be able to earn $2000/month (100% sure) each month
Now I have some random earnings, last month was great ($1,000) but this month I didn't have time for FB so I earned only $150 or something like that but that's just one middle sized FB page

I have setup a facebook page, and twitter account already. I have looked into it for a little bit, and I decided I was going to utilize both in someways but I just don't know how I'd be able to manage to get thousands of followers and likes to make it successful. Any suggestions on how to "manually" get likes/followers?

You've probably set up the FB page for your site, right? But who cares about your site? Make a page of something that you know people from US will like and work on getting this page bigger. When you reach 20K likes (if you're smart it will take you a month for this) start checking what kind of products that crowd may be interested in.

Could you enlighten us with some of your FB tactics for getting sales on Amazon? I have only dabbled with FB but have some good accounts that I probably should put to better use

Be consistent - Don't waste time on Products less than $75 - and don't expect every Site to be successful ---> but very important learn all you can from the successful ones so you can replicate over and over again.

Well, the basics is to know who Likes your page. Check out the demographics, test the crowd with a couple of random products (don't spam the page, make those post every 2-3 days) and once you see what they like simply search for sales on Amazon and for the products that have 4+ ratings. I don't know, it's not a science...

The Facebook tactics is interesting somehow. You're getting fans through ads, right? That's the best way to find targeted ones. Start from Niche research then make research on the demography of the people in the niche. And get the page setup and buy ads from Facebook. Should work, I've not try it though. Just got it thought like right now

    Day 3/4
The past few days I have mainly been trying to just sort out how I am going to go about building this site. I have been researching backlinking techniques, and I really like the methods maecenas23 uses to get backlinks in this thread. It is basically the tiered system, and I will pretty much be doing most of it manually for the time being.

Also the past few days I have been building up my twitter and facebook accounts with likes and followers, I am up to 400 followers and about 200 likes. Not bad imo, I honestly don't think that these accounts will matter that much, unless I get 10k+ followers which I am going to try to do since it only take a few minutes a day.

The majority of the day today was spent downloading CS6, I need it for school and I needed after effects to make youtube videos, and I kept running into problems while downloading it and it took forever! But it is all resolved now.

What I plan on doing tomorrow and the next day:

    - Finish on-site SEO, and make sure my main keyword is mentioned enough
    - Write 3-4 Articles for Web 2.0's, and try to make 1 video for youtube
    - Start the tiered backlinking methods. I will have 10-15 Web 2.0's and post a 400 ish word article on each. I will then send backlinks to those pages, and some higher PR backlinks to my main site. I will also create some social bookmarks idk how many yet though.

I can easily afford to outsource the "backlinking" because I don't really have any tools, but I think it will be worthwhile for me to learn how to create my own backlinking program myself, and see what it needs. I may even buy scrapebox or GSA if I see good results doing it manually.

I think I pretty much have everything figured out, and it is just a matter of doing all the work, which is what I have been actually looking forward to doing!

Also, I am using Powersuite Rank Tracker to track my rank for my keywords, but it only goes up to 100 results and I am not ranked in the top 100, but I didn't really expect to yet anyways. I am indexed and submitted to google though!

Thanks, for all the support and hopefully I make large gains the next couple days as I did the last two!

He is full of himself, he made a post like two weeks ago saying he just got $30 in commission from Amazon. i just don't believe that he has got as much as he has said. And the only way to get legit facebook likes is to post alot on your page, and other pages. It is realllyyy time consuming.

    Day 5/6
Wow! The past two days went by quick! In thos two days I kind of procrastinated writing the content for some reason, I think because it was absolutely amazing weather today, only a few days like it all year, and I wanted to be doing something other than sitting in front of the computer. Anyways I completed some goals, and I refined my backlinking strategy to exactly what I will be using. Although I haven't figured out if I will be using tools to automate it or not. Here is the strategy

    -Build web 2.0?s
-Write 400 word articles for each web 2.0
-Submit each article to--squidoo, hubpages, ezine, goarticles, amazin, articleblast, aticalle
-Post each to web 2.0 blog
-Send wiki?s and social bookmarks to above pages/sites
-Send high pr comments to main site

I don't know how many web 2.0's I will be making, mostly depends if I can find a free tool or a cracker tool to make some for me. I also have a tool to scrape high pr links, and I will manually post on those pointing back to my main site. I also have a tool for wiki submits, idk if it works or not. And I still need to find a tool for basic blog commenting. I know scrapebox/gsa does all of this easily, but I am learning alot right now.

Anyways the past two days I for the most part finished my onsite SEO and layout/design, as well as how each specific post will look. I am pretty satisfied with it. All I need to do is add a "cornerstone" article on my homepage and I will be done with onsite SEO. I am going to write that immediately after this post too.

I did not get around to making any videos, or writing any Web 2.0 articles or main site articles. I am really dissapointed that I failed to do that.

What I plan on doing tomorrow and the next day:

    - Write 1 main site article, and 4-5 Web 2.0 articles
    - Begin Video Production
    - Post to Facebook and Twitter
    - Create Web 2.0, Article Directory, and Social Bookmarking Accounts Up to 100

So Question in regards to a video. I have found a really well shot series of video where it is basically just like a powerpoint. The dude shot the photos himself and made it into a video. Would youtube not rank me if I were to use his footage, but overlay my own voice ontop of it?

Stay with me I am going real slow I know, but I am learning alot and I believe because I am taking my time in these early steps I won't have to come back later on! Hopefully I am explaining myself clearly enough and "noobies" can do the same as me!

IDK it was one of my usernames that I always used like 2-3 years ago when I made a bunch of account including this one
