    Hey Guys,

I'm still trying out and testing different techniques, although i have hosting with hostgator i was trying the techniques used in:

    Code:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-special-offers-forum/154453-complete-traffic-search-engine-optimization-coaching-program-private-label-rights-tap-into-enormous-niche.html

Which is to use a weebly blog as yuor main money site, then use other web 2.0 properties to link to it via rss etc

is using weebly as your main money site for example and linking to it still profitable? and if so what would be the advantage of registering a domain?

Does anybody else use web 2.0 properties solely for selling? or is it best to mix the registered domains to the bum marketing method?

    cheers guys

    Graham

The problem with using a web 2.0 property as your money site is that you don't own it.

The owner of Weebly can decide to delete it whenever they want.

So what happens if you put in months of work to get this site ranking well and making money only to have the owner delete it?

Buy a domain and build your business on something you own.

You should still use web 2.0 properties to link towards your money site, but I would never base my business on something I don't own.

Can't your webhost decide to take down your website whenever they want too?

I agree with Pat. I see people whining many times because their money making web 2.0 was deleted.

Use these sites to build links to your own domain.

    @dukeofism
Actually they can, but the domain is on your name. So you can move your domain to another hoster and continue business;)

Using web 2.0 properties to host landing pages works well, and in my experience, as long as your landing pages aren't shit, your sites will stick.

With that said, I recommend that if you can afford it, use your own domain and hosting. The benefits are far greater in the long run.

They can take it down, sure, but they can't delete it. You own it.

You should obviously keep back ups of it.

If you build thousands of links to your website and then your host takes it down, you can host it somewhere else and none of your link building efforts will be effected.

Where as, you create a web 2.0 site and build thousands of links and the owner takes it down - then it's gone. Nothing you can do. All of your work was for nothing.

    Hi Guys,

Thats good points! ill stick to registering a domain and linking the web 2.0 to it.

On the web 2.0's like weebly and hubpages etc, is it best to if possible have it linking to a video also? rather than just text? on the weebly blog i search for blogs with the same niche and put their RSS content on my weebly blog (so to have fresh content)

    thanks guys

    Graham
