This is idiotic and just playing off of uninformed, panicky people. I'm thinking none of those kids were wearing a backpack as they were all IN CLASS. Not to mention, if it's on your back, you still can be shot in the front.
It's horrible scare-tactic marketing.
in other words, "black hat marketing"...
Come on admit it, you gotta love capitalism
Only here we can make money on pretty much any useless crap that comes to our mind. Pretty soon kids will be wearing Kevlar/Dragonskin suits to school. It's WE as society failed or refuse to acknowledge mental issues with people surrounding us not the guns.
We sold two wars on it The best tactic, always, always works.
Maybe I should rephrase...as a mother, and someone that doesn't buy the hype...and a marketer with morals...it's horrible marketing. For them, it is genius.
a much better market would be:
bulletproofed desks and chairs.
promoting homeschooling courses.
i suspect these will be popular in the new year.
Home Schooling - Not Just For Hillbillies Anymore
It's never been for hillbillies. They aren't smart enough to teach their own kids.
There was actually a study done a little while ago about homeschool vs traditional... Homeschooled students had a higher chance to get through uni and have a job when they got out than traditional.
In any case, I doubt the backpacks would be even close to useful for stopping 5.56 or 7.62 otherwise each backpack will be +10lbs and +$1k
Von Meyer, Ind. Man With 47 guns, Arrested After Elementary School Threat, Police Say
(CBS/AP) CEDAR LAKE, Ind. - An Indiana man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly threatened to "kill as many people as he could" at an elementary school near his house. Police said they later found 47 guns and ammunition hidden throughout his Cedar Lake home.
Prosecutors filed formal charges of felony intimidation, domestic battery and resisting law enforcement against 60-year-old Von. I. Meyer. He was being held Sunday without bond at the Lake County Jail, pending an initial hearing on the charges.
Cedar Lake Police officers were called to Meyer's home early Friday after he allegedly threatened to set his wife on fire once she fell asleep, police said.
i dont think its going to help, it wont protect the front part of the body. its just marketing to sell bag packs for higher prices.
This is such a bad idea.
This will be used as aftermarket bodyarmor that does not require registration.
