What's the cheapest way to register approx 100-200 domains, preferably anonymously so that they don't all look to be owned by me?

BTW I'd prefer UK domain names, but if their are serious implications in doing this, then I'd be happy to compromise. Infact their could be a benefit in having a variety of english speaking areas.

You can register a private domains and hide your ip and whois, so not one will find where you like or where they are, take a look at http://www.bulksdomains.com they have a private services , I use this company for over 3 years now, to hide whois and for privacy reasons of my domains ;)

This just looks like a wildwestdomains (godaddy) reseller account, if so the privacy protection is very weak. Only a concern if you think people will actively try to find out who you are.

I was looking on 123 domains site and they say:

If you're registering a domain as an individual, you can get WHOIS privacy for free on all .uk domains. Just choose the WHOIS opt-out option when you purchase your domain.

I think passing WHOIS checks should be enough to stop most people. So that would be fine.

Are .info domain names any good for getting indexed and ranked in google etc.

info's are only cheap for the first year, then the price jumps up.

many people use them as throw-away domains, spam the hell out of them, and dont renew.

having said that, many people here say they are as good as any domain. I have no evidence either way as I dont use them.

What I do have evidence of, is that if you are promoting to a UK audience, a uk domain on a server with a UK IP address gives you a small increase in rankings in google uk search, by uk searchers.

for bulk registration check out godaddy, they give you private registration for free with bulk registration of 5+ domains, plus you can add other discounts to the final price, their bulk registration page is:
Code:
hxxp://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/registrar/bulk/bulk.asp

Remember to select private registration when you reach the cart, they slyly point it out but do not auto-select it.

Cheers!!
