So I am still in the process of trying to learn all this SEO stuff, and am about to start building web 2.0's for backlinks to my sites. My question is, are private proxies or a VPS completely necessary to do this? And when I am writing these articles my goal isnt to rank them right? So I dont have to worry to much about on-page SEO and all of that? Any info on web 2.0's in general would be great guys. I really need to get this started up.

If you're making multiple accounts on a single web2.0 you may want proxies, since they can ban you if they want.
I see no other reason for using proxies or vps with web2.0s.

I personally would treat my web2.0s like my money site, and try to post to them frequently as well as build links towards them. Its worth it in the long run to have a web2.0 with some authority.

Completely unnecessary to have proxies or a VPS

You are aiming to create secondary sites to point to your main site and provide contextual links. You can then blast these 2.0s with link services to juice your main property - thats where you will need a proxy or buy a service.

On page SEO is less important, but there is no harm giving search engines a clue as to what they are about.

Thanks so much for the replies guys. Im gonna get started with these right now. Something big came up earlier I had to attend to. So I dont need a proxy for just regular web 2.0 article wrting is the conclusion? Google wont be able to tell Im linking to my own site that was built on the same IP as the backlink was made from?

This I had a question about. I would buy a service, lets say link wheel, to each of these web2.0 individually? So in total maybe 10-30 link wheels? Would it be ok to order separately, lets say to do this to 2 a week or recommended to do all web2.0 blasts at the same time?

    Appreciate the info mate.

Dude why do you need proxies when you are just learning ? Just learn to write articles first. You articles are meant to provide a backlink to your money site on your keywords.

My approach has been to phase the blasts to at least create some semblance of natural building, but I've never tried an all out approach so can't tell you that it wouldn't work.

Private proxies and vps is not required if you are not creating multiple accounts on each web2.0. Yes you don't have to focus on ranking the web2.0 so you can write good quality article without bothering about its ranking factor. As for the on-page SEO, you should have to pay little attention on on-page factors like subdomain, tittle of the web2.0, meta description etc. Because it will give better relevancy to your site and will pass good amount of link juices.

This. Proxies should be used if you plan on using several accounts. Since you're just starting out, I suggest doing everything manually and once you get a hang of it then that's when you can scale your campaign.
