Hi All,

Im starting a new project to resell SEO services.

Im not an expert at SEO, but Ive learnt a bit (thanks to this forum) so far, and have cleints from an unrelated business asking me to provide them Internet Marketing services. So Im going to reselling route, farming out work to to those who know more than me, and can do the work.

Long story short-I need to create a good site to sell SEO asap.

Ive got some clients ready to go, and I need to put something up for them to take a look at.

I know the general Landing page stuff- optins-sales copy etc etc

BUT- this is the first site Ive started from scratch designed specifically for SEO- so if possible I would like to create the site structure correctly from scratch.

So tips for creating a good SEO site for reselling of the bat?

Cheers

Are you asking what kinds of things your should have on it, like examples of the detailed reports you (should) provide? or something else entirely?

Mostly things like:

What should I include on the site? ( such as case studies or examples as you suggest)

How should I structure the layout? ie should it create a /keywordtarget.html pages or doesnt or not worry about it.

How many pages? (with want content?) I know what to include from a sales point of view- but how much to I gear the content towards sales- and how much towards keyword optimization?

What are good things to know about reselling SEO in general? ie..should you say you are reselling- or tell them you do it? What pitfalls should I look out for?

Well you said you have clients Already, is this site for then or for hooking in new customers? Whichever one you pick produces entirely different answers

Ok-

Ive just got some clients now who Im setting up SEO for- BUT I haven't been promoting I'm in the SEO business to anyone externally.

I want to use the site to inform the clients I Have about the SEO service- AND pick up clients with it in the future.

Technically is can be touted at a new business/project.

So Im all good to get a new domain if need be etc etc

Cheers

Not to be taken as offense...but why are you asking SEO 101 questions if you are running an SEO company yourself?

I would first and formost setup a blog. A blog grabs instant traffic from searches on a daily basis, so regardless of what you are doing, you can always depend on blog traffic (if you have a halfway decent blog)

Then choose 3 keywords and start going after them in thee search engines by building your backlinks. Continue to build your backlinks for eternity and hopefully the traffic will come pouring in.

I don't think it really matters what your SEO of your SEO site is unless you are trying to rank the site. These people already know about your services, but want to see a site right? Well, they probably won't know anything about Title tags, meta tags, and on page seo...

Hi All,

Thanks everyone for your responses.

Thanks for the info.

No offense taken- I feel ya- it can look that way.

Ive built a few blogs, had worked with Seo'ing them etc etc and Ive managed a few of the of my own business's seo projects over the past couple years- so Ive got a broad understanding. But not an seo dude myself-more like project manager.

This project isnt about me being an SEO specialist-its about me being able to sell other peoples stuff.

Im the car salesman, not the car maker. I only need to know enough to put a ribbon on it and make the sale. :)

Yes, I agree with your blog suggestion.

100% agree- my clients probably dont really care about the logistics. But if there is a chance I can give them the information + the sales pitch AND have the site doing all the right things in the serps at the same time- Im going to have a shot at it. :)

The simple answer is just semi dupe a seo blog site, bang some general "why seo is important" content (along with a couple case studies) and find a low comp geo target key from this country and start building links. ( and drown in the SEO sea of providers with sites just like that)

The complex one is pushing to find that gem of information, that can help create an site that rises above the norm, with a great USP,strategy, sale pitch, design and seo in one- that 10% better than the rest. :)

Hence bouncing ideas for the possibility of finding that gem.

Cheers
