    Hey,

I have a nice domain that was 301 redirected and I'm wondering if I can build a money site using it.

Does anyone have some experience or thoughts about it?

It was a legit 301 redirect, domain has nice metrics, clean backlinks profile, only main page is indexed in google.

    I'll appreciate any help.

If it can be indexed and the previous redirect was legit, I thing it should'nt be a problem!

Thx for reply, I'm thinking the same way but it won't hurt getting more opinions.

Check few things before you use.

    1. Check archive. if it has any content its really good.
    2. Check backlink profile.
If it doesn't have two of the above, you are not going to get much from that domain. It will be like new domain. If its realy fancy name then its worth proceeding.

yes you can build site around 301 redirect, as if you not than you will purchase a new domain, So why not use what you already got.

As long as the domain isnt blacklisted, you should have no problem building your site

Why not? You have domain, it has backlinks. Who cares what was there before.

I've heard that undoing a 301 redirect is a slow process but I have no personal experience. As long as you can get the URL reindexed with Google I don't see any issues.
