I'm about to start building a list through solo-ads, but I'm still having doubts whether it is worth the investment. Here are my concerns:
Can you actually sell products to a list built through solo-ads? I imagine the people on that list get a large number of offer emails every day as their emails are probably exchanged hundreds of times between soload providers and list builders, so they're less likely to actually purchase something.
Also why would solo-ad providers sell ads, is this mainly because their lists are largely unresponsive to paid offers?
Input from someone experienced would be great :)

I would just strongly suggest setting a budget because often times, you see your list growing super fast and it gives you encouragement to keep buying more but make sure you have a set monthly budget and stick to it. :)

Thanks for the tips! I was wondering the same thing as OP, if these people have responsive list why not just send quality offers instead of littering their content with solo ads buyer's content that could potentially be garbage. Wouldn't this lower the list overall response rate even more?

There are many people who have used solo ads to build big online companies. However, this method should be used with a lot of caution. It can also be a fast way to watch your money disappear. I have paid for consulting from a few who make a living in this dept and they have shared some nasty tricks that they have used to pad their wallets at the expense of their solo ad buyers.

In theory, the strategy is brilliant, but in reality, well, just be very careful, and test small to begin.

You have to test and pull out the bad ones.

As soon as you built a sizable list,

leverage it by doing ad swaps.

I personally find that paying $1.00 per click or more

usually got me some responsive people on my list.

Anything below that and the quality is questionable.
