So I used to run a PPC agency but have decided that having to deal with stupid people and time zones sucks. I'm moving towards affiliate marketing now. I have over $10k for this project, and have a strong PPC, SEO and CRO/LPO background, but don't know as much about direct offers or media buying. Here are my two options: stick with what I know and use Google to drive traffic and build my email list. The money's in the list, I know how to optimize, and am comfortable with this. Downside: less immediate ROI, I have to do relationship building, etc. I don't mind this as I like the niche, I'm just saying. Option #2: get involved in a targeted media buy and CPA offer. Optimize the F out of my ads and landing pages. Lose more money upfront, don't build a list, but start making money faster and learn a new industry: media buys and CPA. I understand optimization and the fact that I'm going to lose money upfront, so that part is fine. I know it's my decision in the end, but would love to hear other's thoughts.
