    Hey,

Do you think that Google will find it suspicious if for a new website, I start creating backlinks from High PR pages? Can Google penalise me for doing so as it will look "unnatural"...?

Lets say the first 50 Backlinks I build are all PR5++.

    What do you think?

    ;)

You'll be perfectly fine, if you are worried just don't ping them all at once.

It's better to build 50 PR5 links than 50 PR n/a links in the eyes of Google, as Google will see higher PR page links as more trustworthy. This is because they are much less common than PR n/a pages, and it would be harder to artificially create 50 PR5 links.

In regard to fast linkbuilding to new sites in general, it is effective, but there is a risk you'll enter the sandbox.

The sandbox is a serp "no mans land", usually below result 1000. The average time in the sandbox is 2-3 months. After this period, all your backlinks you've been building will kick in, and you will emerge in a much better position, usually in the top 10.

You can steer carefully with your backlinks and try to avoid the sandbox, but to be honest, that would probably take 2-3 months as-well.

So which strategy is better? To get sandboxed then emerge at the front page after 3months or careful backlink building?

Anyone who use PR as a basis to make value judgements about SEO...dosn't understand SEO. PR belongs in the trash can along with meta tags. PR is for n00bs & should be in the whitehat section of BHW.

"Relevance" is googles religion & relevant anchor text from relevant themed sites/urls/content is your nirvana. If you know who to create relevance via auto created pages on other peoples sites where you can drop your link/s, you have a license to print money

Relevancy really is growing to be extremely important. Authority is also important. If you can find authority sites (e.g. for Angela's backlinks) that are relevant to your site build these first.

Pagerank is a bit dated and is only one indicator (if its working) of a page's quality. Some high PR links can be good but I wouldn't focus solely on that.

OK all this sounds good so let me ask is it better to lets say build several pages on web 2.0 sites then ping and bookmark them, because what im finding out is that google really doesnt indexed alot of your links for instance i have a blog that has out 300 BL in yahoo and in google webmaster tools it reads only like 5... its hard as hell to know what google will index and what they wont, but let me say this i am finding out alot of these directory, article and other submission programs are really becoming a waste of time... i now have SENuke so im going to see how it works out ass far as getting BLs in google from doing web 2.0, bookmarking, making profiles and pinging the hell out of everything. because ive also noticed that alot of the backlinks u get drop off fast and most of the time google doesnt count them but just use them to index your site, and in my opinion was your site is indexed just get relevent long standing BLs... any insight please add...
