I just wanted to post this as a little guidance to a lot of the newcomers I see coming in here. A lot of people come in and ask "what can I get away with today, in 2017" can you tell me? A lot of people are focused on the bare minimum that will slip past Google at this very moment. Can I use spun content on my T1? Is 1 page ok for web2.0's? What is a good max OBL? People want to know this.... but rarely do I hear anybody warn them with this:

If you merely build your SEO strategy around the bare minimum of what passes TODAY in 2017 you will almost surely get knocked down "tomorrow."

Those who have been around SEO will remember the good old "SeNuke days" when the question was "how unique does my spun content have to be, is 70% unique enough?" or "Can I SB blast T1?" People in those days built around tool-blasting unreadable spun content directly AT their money sites. And then Penguin came around.... and well...

But it is even worse today. The cost of rebuilding your site and re-ranking is EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE than ever. If you get slapped today you can't just open up Scrape Box and SeNuke and spam your way to #1 in two short weeks. You'll spend hundreds... or probably thousands on content. Google has made SEO very expensive lately. Good Articles cost $7-$15 for 500 words.

Anyway... my point here is don't just haunt this forum begging members to tell you the bare minumum you can get away with today. Think about how you can build your SEO so that it passes not just 2017's Google, but 2018 and 2019 and 2020. This starts with quality content on your money sites, quality content on your T1's and honestly... good content even on your T2's. Treat your T1's like most people treat their money sites. And if you aren't sure if something is "safe" then it probably isn't.

Right and yet wrong. It depends on what niches you are aiming for / situation of your payments.

Cannot agree with this. You can re use content, point your PBN links to new site...so all that it cost really is time...and some luck...not alot of more money....unless oyu are building a really big authority branded site....then the rules are different.

It's like the old saying goes, if something's worth doing it's worth doing right.

It may take longer to build up sites using quality content but it's worth it in the end.
