No it isn't because you have the RIGHT to sell the commodity at a pre-determined price, but there is no obligation to.

Therefore it would be a risk free transaction.

But what he's saying - and you really should listen to him - is that it's going to end badly.

I'm sure you know what that means.

no idea what you are talking about.
how is buying put a risk free transaction? and no obligation.
you use money to buy put options. you dont use 'words' to buy options.

and i never gave people advice about investing.

With all the respect to Warren, he has 0 clue when it comes to tech.
Hes an old, conservative investor.
It is known and he and his partner are known to pass on amazon and google.

So is he a brilliant investor? yes.
Would I take a tech advice from warren, a guy who is known to not even have a computer in his office, and passed on google / amazon...well you get the picture...
