I can't belive this person. They bought a digital product from me on July 9 and have just disputed the purchase today saying that the "item was not as described".

I immediately denied the rquest and escalated it to a Paypal claim because it's obvious this ass is just trying to screw me and get a free product.

Will Paypal grant this request even though he bought the product more than 30 days ago?

What is their policy on digital products?

I heard they don't normally grant refunds on info products and digital products unless it's within 48 hours of purchase.

Can anyone weigh in on this?

Nevermind. Paypal alreday ruled in my favor and said that they will not conduct an investigation based on a product that was not physically delivered on an "off e-bay" transaction.

Money is still in my account. Screw that piece of shit.

PayPal's policy says as a buyer you have up to 45 days to dispute a purchase. I think that's a long time myself but it is what it is... As a seller you should acquaint yourself with the Paypal Policies....

I understand the 45 days, but for digital products they won't even investigate. They probably understand that too many people would buy the product and ask for a refund just to get it for free. His refund was denied. This is from Paypal:

You have chosen to escalate this dispute to a PayPal claim. By ending
communication with the buyer, you are asking PayPal to investigate the case and decide the outcome. As part of our investigation, PayPal reviewed any communication you may have had with the buyer in the Resolution Center.

We have received a complaint from a buyer who stated that merchandise you sent them did not match your original description. The buyer is disputing the quality of goods associated with the transaction detailed below.

As you may already be aware, PayPal's Buyer Complaint Policy applies only
to the shipment of goods and not to complaints about the attributes or
quality of goods received through an off eBay transaction. Therefore, we
will not conduct an investigation into this matter at this time.

We do, however, reserve the right to begin an investigation within 180 days if we determine it is necessary

The important part being this:

PayPal's Buyer Complaint Policy applies only to the shipment of goods and not to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods received through an off eBay transaction.

yeah, i often put in the description; DIGITAL GOODS. 99.9% of people dont know that they cant dispute it then! =))

Love your avatar, BTW. Trailer Park Boys and Bubbles are awesome!

Officer: "Can you get out of the car please sir."

Julian: "Sure. Can you hold my beverage for a minute."

LOL. Classic.

Yeah, anyway. That's ridiculous. I would have refunded him if it had been within a week.

That's why I tend to sell my own MRR products instead of promoting Clickbank.

I just got really sick of people getting refunds after having the product for 58 days.

I also use the $7 Secrets script so that I'm basically in control of my refunds.

Even payment processors like E-Junkie are apt to give refunds way after the purchase.

The guy actually sent me an email right after the decision and it read "You're a real piece of shit." LMAO.

He's really not telling me anything I don't already know. LOL.
