I have many different stocks, currently about 25 in total and every stock has like a minium of 10+x return. Bitcoin is just "one" investment out of many. crying about bitcoin is the same as if I were crying about not investing in the other 100+ opportunities, but that's what I do. I invest. I don't gamble. And that's rule number one. Bitcoin is purely a gamble. In the last 10 years, I've bought about 200k worth of stock, trying to invest 20k per year. My stock portfolio is currently at 7,8 million - so yes, I don't have any reason to cry about bitcoin. believe me or not, your descision.

That's incredible. You converted 200K into 8 million dollars in 10 years? How is that possible?

That's like 4000%.

400% per year, every single year in a row, for 10 years.

Even Warren Buffett, the most successful investor of the world for the past 30 years, claimed 20%-30% per year.

Did you buy FAANG in the early days?

Buffet doesn't buy tech stocks. He buys whole companies which business models he understands. EDIT: Total percentages are often irrelevant. If bufet makes 10% of 100 Billion that's 10 Billion. If my company goes from 1000 Dollar per Month to 100k per month, that's 100x. It's easier to get high % with low numbers.

And I only buy what I understand, too. And I only buy tech stocks because I understand their business models. Every tech stock pre 2015 was basically a gold mine. I bought Apple shares for 8$ in 2010 - that was even before the 7:1 split in 2014. I also have Netflix and Amazon Shares from 2011-2013.

And I almost have all big tech companies in my portfolio. The only major tech stock which I've never bought is Tesla, because they were always like 1 day away from bankruptcy. Guess I was wrong. But to be fair, the stock price of Tesla didn't move that much in the last 10 years. So I don't really feel bad about that too.

And as you see, it's not that I am a "genius". I just got lucky that tech shares exploded in the last 3-4 years. you could say the same about bitcoin. the difference is, that I trust companies. I don't trust bitcoin where 50% or so are held by only 1000 people.

Most people lose money in the stock market ( or other investments like bitcoin) because they put all their money into 1 thing and hype it up or sell if the stock plumets 3 month later. Like those folks who lost all their money when Lehman went bankrupt in '08. That's lazyness and stupidity. My father for example didn't sell one share in the '08 crash. He even bought more :D

I'm not saying this guy is speaking the truth, but I wouldn ever consider Warren Buffet the most successful investor of the world lol

20-30% / year is nowhere near the "best investor". Although investing is a lot different when you have millions if not billions to invest. By those standards 20-30%/year over a 30 year period is really good.

I edited my text but this is the important part. Getting 10-20% returns every year with BILLIONS of Dollars is much more difficult.
