I think its a bit strong to call it a scam. The guy tried it on thats all. He shouldnt have done that as you mentioned the BHW offer so he ends up looking a bit silly but asking a higher price is a mistake not a scam.

Yeah not condoning what he did and now he looks silly. However the guy probably has different price points all over the internet so he tried his luck. Thats not a scam. A scam is when you get robbed and cant get any money back.

Apart from posting his account details for all to see and titleing the thread "tried to scam me" ?

I can understand your point of view and you are in the right but the threads a bit dramatic and could have been solved with a few pms.

Well look at your thread title. Even if you'd have bought them for 100$ that would have been your fault, not his. He never robbed you of anything therefore there would have never been any scam just a rip off.

I don't think this is scam or trying to scam. It's just business. :13:

this thread is NOT worty of shit list IMHO,
and it will be removed form Lounge very shortly I think
OP, understand your frustration, but, in all honesty,
you did title the thread usiing the word "scam",
and no evidence of scam, but a simple error in business, nothing more.

He (obviously) inadvertantly saw it initially as a cold call, hence bumped up the prices at first,
just to get maximum ROI, and although not best business practice >>> No scam here :)

Resellers do the same thing except in a large scale. That's not titled scam and neither is this. This is just IMHO.

Have this thread deleted. You are unfairly ruining his reputation.

This is not a "scam", he were just trying to make business. I'm sure you would have got BWH price if you told him you were from BHW.

Would agree with all the above points. It's not a scam to have different price points. He just didn't seem very aware that you were from BHW which was for a certain price point. I've actually bought hotmail accounts from him (gaurav) and got them at the BHW price points without being asked for a higher amount.
