When I try to sign in with my email I get "This doesn't look like a work or school email. You can't sign in here with a personal account. Use your work or school account instead." Any ideas?
They give you a new email and password you must sign in with. Check instructions...
Go to http://portal.office.com
Sign in with the email account. Please change password for first time login-done
Install office on top right hand corner
Before start of installation, ensure that you have uninstalled any existing office 2016/365 programs on your PC to prevent activation error. (Start->Control Panel->Uninstall a program) **Please kindly keep and remember password as I will not be responsible for lost password/locked account due to wrong password entered multiple times.

can anyone who bought confirm that they can use 365 as op advertised or like me can only install old 2016 version from the supplied login...(I am on a mac and ios)

"We don't recognize this user ID or password Be sure to type the password for your work or school account."
