I assume they are talking about the capped speed limit.
Like my current plan is 2 mbps until 8 gb then 512kbps unlimt.

I think they are going to provide 2 mbps unlimited.
If yes that is a great news.

P.s.. yeah If I would get a better option I would surely love to switch them but since I live in little outskirts type I have to use them only.

    hmmm
    I dont think so
cause speed are capped for their price
so,they would not convert limited plans to unlimited
otherwise why 1 should take unlimited plan for extra cost lol!
they had not said, the revised plans, they are talking about speed only
    May be its a gimmick

Yes, it's after FUP (Fair Usage Policy).

Whatever plan you had, it always came to 512 kbps after FUP, but now I guess it'll be 2 mbps after FUP. I have 4 mbps up to 15 GB per month and was always forced to top up to cope up with the speed, now I guess can save few hundred INRs.

and if 1 think deeply, if data usage removed (CAP) then only there will be one plan , that is unlimited
    They did not say that

    Hi all

I used bsnl many years from bsnl launching broadband in my city, ALWAYS WORST SERVICE IN THE COUNTRY, after i change to airtel getting perfect for everything.

bsnl i used 4mbps ....but i get only 3.5mbps download and upload normally 0.5mbps bsnl service engg told me .....(the highly comedy) i ask engg to why i getting speed 3.5 only? , ''he said 3.5 + 0.5 upload so totally it is 4mbps .......hahahaha this is what bsnl engg knows

currently im in airtel i take below plans

    i take 1049rs= plan 4mbps 5gb , local calls free

then upgrade to 1100rs= 4mbps 9gb, locals not free, but they said calls free, some airtel executive mislead me so some issue and i surrender the connection.

after i solve all prob, and then i get reconnection from airtel

    reconnecting i get offer : 1100rs = 4mbps with 40gb and local calls free.

and now this month again offer upgrade: 1499rs = 16mbps speed with 100gb download great !!!!! (1499+tax maybe 1750rs)

so everyone change bsnl to airtel or some other

Yes, whats you plan? The plans change according to the circles as well. As chandu mentioned, there is no branded ISP in India that I know will provide plans without cap.

Checkout "Download Speed" row in the image, both airtel and BSNL have the cap and BSNL even mentioned it's unlimited plans.

Unlimited in the sense, you're connection will work in a lower speed with a cap, I wonder why you're trying to prove us wrong when they have mentioned it clearly and yet telling they haven't mentioned and bla bla.

    bsnl plans.png

It's same with all other branded ISPs.

BSNL EVDO Wireless Broadband Unlimited Plan
With All taxes, its costing me $15/month
and there is no CAP at all.may be because it is Wireless :p
as like I have said, I had downloaded 250GB+ data in a month with constant speed(generally my usage 150GB+/month but few time it reached 200GB to 275GB month)

I used EVDO in the starting phase the maximum speed at my location was 256kbps and it was unlimited yeah at the same price.

Right now I am paying like $23-$25 for wired connection and the speed I have stated above 2mbps upto 8gb then 512kbps unlimited.
Lets see what they roll out next they surely need to do something most important in the behavior of the employees.
I still remember that incident when I was yelling them for speed issues and said If this is going to continue I am afraid but I had to discontinue your service and the lady said frankly yeah its upto you go ahead.

Damn since I dont have any other option I have to stick with them only.

They are changing it for Phone+broadband, not EVDO.

I was using that too for my mobility, but now using MTS and reliance and BSNL broadband + phone at home.

So what you're using is different and what we're using is different.
