broad domain with several key related subdomains or..

    Hey guys,
    i found a good main keyword( and many good related keywords) and which is the better option( i am on a limited budjet - only 35 bucks lol )- one broad domain with several keyword related subdomains or a seperate domains for every keyword

    I haven't had much luck with the subdomains. I'd go for the separate domains if possible.

    If the related keywords are longtails of the main keyword, and contain many of the main keywords, then a good domain based on the main keyword, with pages for each longtail is a perfectly viable route.

    I wouldn't bother with sub-domains, it won't gain you anything with a small site. Just build each page centred around each of the longtails and expand the site bit by bit. This is the principle of starting with a niche site and expanding it over time into an authority site.

    Link deep across all pages and build steady link velocity with quality 1st tier content-based links. Ramp up gradually and put more volume into the 2nd tier.

    Sub domains are only really useful when the site starts getting big and you want to separate off a particular element, like a news blog for an rss feed to autopopulate a Facebook and twitter page - which then feed back into the newsblog and then up into the main site via each post.
