Unfortunately, it's another story of woe. If you have used the British Airways website or app between 21 August and 5 September 2018, they have had a data breach (read more on the BA site here) and you may be affected.

However, there is some good news! We have a thread on how to secure your BHW account by adding 2-factor authentication.

This is part of the new BHW newbies guide with subforums including
    Brand New to BHW
A guide for Newbies and a guide for marketplace sellers. If you have any ideas comments or feedback about this new section please visit our Welcome to the Newbie Guide thread and post there.

Once again it goes to show that any website is susceptible to hacking and data theft. That's why its so important to have 2-factor authentication in place for all of your important online accounts.

2FA pretty much kills every unauth'd login ever. I am using it for every app I know uses 2FA and I think people should use it too.

People who use British Airways are used to being robbed. £800 for a flight to Spain?

They probably make their money up charging 8x for a short haul flight.

Put a lock on all 3 credit reporting bureaus - trans, equifax and experian it's free and it's the best defense you can ever do. Report all your cc's lost at least once a year

so you get new cc #'s. Doing this cut's your chances of idenity theft and cc theft about 90%

We wish but we know why they hack in first place. Just hoped BA did encrypt customers data since they always way this things and when it happens, they will then say "we did an upgrade that went wrong"

2AF is a good way to keep our account safe. At least we get a notofication, if anyone trying to login from any other device.
