Would like to know from people on how you construct ( create) your workplace , living space in order to create positive and good vibes, keeping negativity away.

I clean it and reorganise it occasionally.

    A dirty workspace encourages indolence.

Well firstly keep it neat . You will be amazed how much better you will feel when everything around you is not a mess. Also try to keep record of things, and have a proper filing system ( even if it is only on your computer ) . I know this might not be an option , but a good chair really helps too, although I sometimes find a good chair crazy expensive ( and I am sitting and typing this from a standard typist chair, my wife having an exec high-back but I am not really fond of those as I like to sit under my table and the armrests get in the way )

Put things around you that you like, if it is your siblings, let their photos be it. Or print out some anime and laminate is ( which made me think about something funny : We are dyslexia of Borg, prepare to have your ass laminated :p )

Schedule your time properly. Don't mull on something or hang around aimlessly . If you have no aim at your current spot, get away. Set scheduled breaks and keep to them . Some people has also suggested to force yourself a shorter workday ( this may sound contradictory, but if you know you have only so many hours, you will be more productive. The rest of the time MUST not be spent on work I guess this is more easier said than done if you are starting out

Lastly ( only if you are working from home, which I assume a lot of IM'ers do ) is to get dressed for work just like any normal work would have you. Working in your PJ's may seem like fun but it blurs the distinction between work and play ( so a late night session of CS:GO can easily turn into a grinding session since you are still in your "working clothes" )

Well ok, halve those stuff I said I don't even always do but bear in mind I have a dayjob too ( but I really should be doing them )

TL;DR : Nope sorry, read it all :p

Listening to all kinds of metal/rock, messing up the desk, occasionally beating up wife and kids.

I can't tell if you people are serious or not.

I have plants in my work space. I also work next to a window. It's nice outside so I open it and let the sunshine in. Listening to the birds, watching the deer and smelling the outdoors really relaxes me.

Which is super funny because I really hate being outside. Especially during this time of year when it is unbelievably hot and I want to punch penguins in the face. But I do it anyway because sunshine and fresh air are good for me.

That's another thing: take a walk outside on your break. It relieves stress, helps you focus and helps you to be positive.

    I was being serious. :D

In my opinion, the condition of your work area reflects a lot on the image of your business, even if you're the only one who ever sees that workspace.

Clutter free, airy and bright, with decent coffee close by and space nearby as well to move around. Got to take regular breaks to prevent mistakes.

Well I have two aloe vera plants and a lavender plant in my workspace. The lavender is really, really relaxing. The aloe vera is good for anything from burns to keeping your hair healthy. They're both easy to take care of. Lavender needs a bit more sun so I've got a lamp on it, but it's doing really good.

Idk about an air purifier. You may need one if you can't open the windows like I do.

Hmm. Guess I'd better move all of this junk food and the refrigerator.
