Ok so i have a great idea about a gathering place for an event (online).

First question: Should i use a different domain name? I have a feeling it's half the success almost. If not, should i worry that the tumblr name is taken? Its some dude, which seems to have no intentions of making anything big.

Second: What is the best medium if i don't have much money to invest? Do you guys recommend any particular? I would do it all on my own website if i had the funds for it. But as of right now i only have the .com domain. There is no fb group with that name and no Instagram either.

I'm forever grateful for any wisdom on this. Thanks guys!

If you already have the .com and the tumblr name is taken, use a different variation of the tumblr name. Like if your domain is freeicrecreamvan.com and freeicecreamvan is taken on tumblr, use something like freeicecrmvan, icecreamvan4free, vanoficecrm4free or something else.

Register the Instagram and register the FB group just so no one else will take it.

How much do you have as far as hosting is concerned? There are some really cheap hosts on the marketplace. I just bought hosting for $36 a year and I'm happy as a clam.

    Thanks for the advice mate!

I'm trying hostingers free hosting atm. Planning on upgrading soon though. There is really a jungle of hosters out there yeah...
