    My Background
I am a entrepreneur that previously did well a few years ago in IM. Since then, I graduated from school and never really applied myself and haven?t done well. I am running out of money and figure its time to get back in the game, all in. I am a pretty adept webmaster, writer, and ok web developer. I previously had an extensive network of ecommerce sites, that generated almost all my revenue. Before that I did the affiliate thing, and before that I cashed in on Adsense when you could throw up a few dozen rssgm sites and do some blog and ping you would get $XXXX in a month.

    Goal

I want to create a stable and diversified income stream that I can leverage to focus on larger projects. Projects that I will not be thinking about until I can afford to ;).

What?s the Number? You need a number.

On the low end it would be $5,000 monthly.

    Why Create a Journey Thread?

This post is about keeping me motivated and on track, while giving back to the blackhatworld community. If I fuck up, I will post about it. If I hit the lotto, I will post about it. If I succeed I will post about it. Whatever happens, I will post about it to hold myself accountable.

How Are You Going to Make Your Money?

With search. 95% of the stuff I am going to be doing will get the majority of its initial traffic from search. After a user base is built up, I will diversify traffic sources, but for now most of it will be from organic search.

That Didn?t Exactly Tell Us How You Are Going to Make Money.

These posts will be a series that tracks my triumphs and struggles. It will not focus entirely on one method. Each week or 2 I will focus on getting 1 project/network of sites finished that will be monetized through direct selling or CPA. More specifically it will be through sites that are monetized by one of the following angles: tangible ecommerce, adsense, SAAS, Info products, content locking, reselling, and services.

Whoa? that?s a lot of shit! Why don?t you start slow and just go for one method?

The plan is just to do one method at the time, but also to diversify, to garner a steady stream of passive income. This is going to be a long term journey, and needs a long term plan. I will also be outsourcing some of the more trivial tasks.

    Currently:

    I have $0 in income.
I will be using a laptop & desktop.
I have about 4 months left on my dedicated server.
My shared hosting expires in about 2 weeks.
I have about 200 domains, with only about 30 sites. (Many are offline)
I have around 25,000 in tangible product.
I?m gonna budget around $2000 for expenses.

    Some Things to Note:

I will not be tracking income daily. But I will do it every Friday. I will not include shipping expenses in my weekly income reports, but may report it monthly. I am currently a one man shop, but I will often talk using the word ?we?. I have and 80 square foot office, LOL its more like a shack, but the view is phenomenal. I will break down my income according to network (ecommerce/CPA/etc.) I also probably forgot something, but feel free to ask. I will also be posting a lot of noise at brandama.com, but if you want the filtered version without me posting a todo list 3 days in a row and debating what template I should use, you can read about it on this thread.

And also, this journey will be followed through on. Feel free to comment or ask questions.

I didn?t do much this weekend. I spent most of my time with family. I wrote the specs for and began coding my SAAS project, made a list of the ecommerce sites I need to update & upload and did the same for some adsense sites I have on my hard drive. Interestingly enough, I have a few micro niche sites that are up, and ranking (1st page). Unfortunately I hadn?t put adsense up on them, so I?ve probably missed out on a few good meals over the year. So I should probably be able to report receiving some adsense pennies this week.

My SAAS project should take a good week of coding to finish and another week of bug testing before I can ship it. I actually think that I am going to be able to work on some other projects while I am coding. I think I can handle it, the project isn?t massively complex and involves a lot of busy work. I am also integrating it into an existing membership subscription system, which is going to save heaps of time. This project isn?t going to make me a lot of money, but it will be a way for me to get familiar with how the SAAS business works, so I can be more successful launching these types of projects in the future. I?ve also decided I am going to keep and renew my hosting at JustHost, the amount of downtime I have had for the price and speed, isn?t bad. Of course I run flat file sites, so they tend to load quick and be easy to maintain.

    On the Docket
    (for the next 2-3 Weeks)

    • 1 SAAS Project
    • 10 Adsense Sites
    • 10 Ecommerce Websites
    • 1 Large Ecommerce Project/Site

What I Did Today (Day 3)
I got my first Ad clicks today! It wasn't much, but it was awesome to see something in the dashboard. Today, I did quite a bit of coding (which I won't bore you with), and work on my Adsense network. I am beginning to make progress. I finished 5 Adsense sites (articles, template, ad placement, on-page seo, etc.) and have a system all worked out where all I need to do is add articles, title & meta tags, images, & FTP the site. Makes building a site clean.

Why I'm Doing it All at Once
I am going to build out all the existing domains I already have and then work on the SEO. That should put me at around a level of income that I can build off of. Most of the income will be from my ecommerce network, but the Adsense side will hopefully contribute a little bit.

What I need to Do Better
Time management. I definitely need to start working earlier. I started at around noon and have only worked for about 7 hours today.

Expenses (Some of the domains I already own, but will include their cost anyway)
    11 Domains: $99
    Total Expenses: $99
    Total Revenue: $0

I failed today, for the first time on this journey, and not even four days into it. I failed because I wasted time attempting to fit into my life the usual, but unnecessary things that I do in my daily routine. I had wanted to start work today by 10:00AM, but I ended up starting at Noon again. I just couldn't work hard enough, and got slightly off track for about an hour. I only ended up finishing about half of the things I had planned to. I am sure, if I had applied myself more effectively, I could have done it.

I finished off three more Adsense sites. I have 2 more to go. I decided that 2 of the sites were just too similar and that I would combine them into one and just redirect the other domain. I made about $2 today through clicks. Once all the Adsense sites start ranking, the adsense income should at least get in the double digits. The goal is to eventually tie off the Adsense network at around $1500-$2500 per month and no more than 100 sites. I am trying to not attract a ban hammer from Google. Most of these sites I will eventually sell to fund the creation of larger sites that earn more income per site.

Anyway, tomorrow is a new day. I hope I can complete everything on the list & then some, so I can begin my SEO efforts next week. Once the sites get ranking (or get back to ranking) this thread should get more interesting and I should be able to put more points up on the board.

    Today's Income: $2
    Total Expenses: $99
    Total Revenue: $2
    Net Income: $-97

Won't get interesting until week 4...

(Sorry I haven't posted the last couple of days, I've been coding.)
