    Hey,

I just had some dude order a massively expensive product from my ebay store today. He's from brazil with a brand new account (no history, created today).

    Do I mess with this?

all I have to say is be careful.. use your better judgment when thinking about shipping to this guy. I used to have an eBay store and when new people from other countries tried to buy my item ( ebooks, software, etc ) I would just ignore them.

Dude, I have been running 2 Ebay stores for 3 years and never ship anything over $100 to foreign countries. I was selling refurbed iPods once and they pulled their money out of Paypal and said I never shipped. Paypal is all for the buyers 1st, so I could not dispute. It was crazy, it was the most biggest loss of power I've ever felt (other then my divorce, lol). They froze and withdrew the money from my account and kept my iPod. 185$. I'm pissed just thinking about it. Another tip is charge super high shipping costs overseas, make sure it's worth the hassle. You can only track to the country not to delivery so you are always gambling. At least if you charge enough the gamble is worth it.

    Good Luck!

Don't do it. Even if Paypal says the funds have cleared its meaningless they will still take it all away from you

"order a massively expensive product" and he's new too, it's too risky to deal with buyer like that.

Depends how expensive. Request payment via wire transfer and only then do you ship after confirmation of funds.

Obvious scam is obvious. This is a scammer 100 %. I have dealt with this same thing on multiple occasion
I thought maybe they just wanted the item and made an account, or maybe they are legit. They are not, you might be thinking that they wouldn't be that stupid. Believe it or not they are just refund them and tell them PP has advised you to refund them due to suspicious activity so you have less of a risk of them leaving negative feedback. If they do leave neg. Contact PP tell them they were doing feedback extortion through email. PP can't prove if you are lying or not so they just remove the neg. All I'm trying to say is, this is.a scammer don't let them trick you. Definately not worth the hassle. If there was a legitimate buyer from brazil on the bay they would have feedback or wait a couple days once they create an account.

I forgot to mention this yesterday. I'm sure most of you know, but for those who don't,

tracking confirmation is only good up until it leaves the US. Once its out of the states, no more tracking. So you can not rely on that.

you can ask him to send the money through wire transfer or escrow . com or western union .... and you ship only after you get the money ... i'm from europe and when i made my first purchases from ebay i paid through western union till i got some feedbacks

If he paid you, go for it, ebay always favors the guy with the higher feedback / prestige so you essentially have the power to get him suspended if you were to file a claim. An ebayer has to start somewhere
