Brand Name Jacking With Domains

Anyone ever register their competitors domain with either a slightly different domain or different tld?

I have a few of my competitors brand domain (.com) and I am currently redirecting them.

I may set them up and rank them, anyone had a dispute with ICANN over this?

is it worth it?

that's a great way to get sued.

Very true, but the websites I am replicating are not trademark register, and some of them aren't even registered as companies

Maybe some libel claim but again, they don't have an official registered company so they technically shouldn't even be trading.

Also just checked, none of the websites have a trademark or any patent. So getting sued is not an issue.

Anyone have any knowledge on this? If not I will just do it and report back to you all.
