Hello,
first of all im not an native english speaker and my google news website will be in my country's language.
I want to start an news site and later on join google news for some boost and more authority.
Maybe some of you could answer some questions and give some tips:
1. Should I put in my domainname / brand "news" e.g. hotnews.TLD or better go with an brandable short url something like amazon? (if I use news in domain all people know fast what is this site abount and maybe give my site more "trust" when it shows up in social media?)
2. Is it also ok not only post news things also post something like people interested in: "This are 5 things about iPhone users" < this shouldn't be in the google news sitemap because it's no news (is something like this ok if it's not in google news sitemap? or must be my site only about news?)
3. Since I need also a seperated sitemap (yoast sitemap for google news) could I do something like this with my categories:
mysite.com/news/technology/thisisthenewiphone8
AND could I also make a category for the posted article like in 2:
mysite.com/technology/thisare5thingsaboutiphoneusers (no news category)
4. How much writers should I aim for are 3 in total ok?
5. How much categories should I go for? I want to use at least 3?
