    My thoughts so far are:

Webinars both paid & free could be monetized, Quarterly or monthly newsletter, paid podcasint (??), consulatation/coaching, digital products (ebooks, videos, ect), content sites--build list email affiliate offers.

If you can think of something else, or give insight as to which one of the above you think would be best.

The domain is a particular investment strategy. I havent started the site yet though. I realize it was because I hadn't pinpointed which way to monetize.

    Thanks in advance.

Having done both I think ditigal products are more sustainable but require greater IM skills. Webinars and coaching are a more people oriented and you have to ask yourself what is your own preference and skill set. The other question is do you like performing because that's what is needed to sell your product or services. Also what production capabilities do you have? Do you have a good speaking voice but a face made for radio? All of these elements come into play.

Thanks for your response. I am working with someone who has investment knowledge and will be providing all the content. He has had some steady success over the years. He is VP of finance at a College in my state & runs their budget ect. I believe he teaches there as well. So I dont think "performing" would be an issue. Although, good point, that is a great way to think about it.
I have the skills to help host & "perform" w/o the investment knowledge. And I cant imagine the webinar technical process would take me more than a week or two to get down. However I dont know if he wants to put that much time into it. Couldnt be more than a couple hours per week on his part could it?....

When we spoke last he was wanting to monetize via newsletters. What are your thoughts on this?
I'm not to excited about this way though.

I like digital products. I think it would be pretty easy to do.

What about podcasts? I know very little about this?

My original plan was to just have him write some articles & put up the site & drive traffic to it. Meantime, develop a free report to build a list when they come for the content (or as a requirement of viewing the content. Hummm?).
Then email the list affiliate & CPA offers as well as a little non sales content maybe once a week.
This seems like the most viable way to get started in this market.
    Thoughts?.....

With kind of deep knowledge of investment. ofcourse you should have strong portfolio as selling point. You can start selling a signal or membership site.

I am not saying i have deep investment knowledge. But try to give the members high quality report on best pick to throw the money on ( Act like investment fund manager ). Ofcourse you could mix it up with CPA affiliate and so on.
