Just needed to brag to someone since most of my online friends are still sleeping ---

Have a new business stealth account created this week, 100 items $5,000 limits -- i had about 15 items posted, all legit with receipts. I was very happy they were doing so well with just the 15 buying feedback i had created over the last 5 days. One minute before the first item was to be sold I got the dreaded MC999 e-mail and they removed ALL of the listings :(

Well, logged on figured out the phone number and called up as they requested. Got a foreigner on the phone and was overly nice, explained the situation etc. Chatted him up best I could did some basic social engineering and within 8 minutes all of my items were back in my "unsold" folder and my restriction lifted, I also talked him into upping my limits to 200 items, $7500 and showed him that my items were all relatively low costs and "safe" items.

It's so nice when things go well -- I"ve had legit accounts get screwed over with these first calls, so to have one go smooth is always nice.

So no real point to this post but to brag. If I can help with any questions, please let me know.

ebay -- there customer service. there was no trademark violations. it wasn't for vero -- it was just the basic mc999... probaly because it's stealth info and when i tried to manually do the limit increase to start, it didn't autogenerate the data questions.

Did they ask you any questions or ask to confirm your ID from a public database or anything? What other questions did they ask? Others have said they ask public database questions and do you have the items in stock etc.

yes, that is what i meant when "things have gone wrong before" , about the public data quesitons (similiar to when you open a checking account -- basically just to veirfy ID) It's a business account, but still a stealth name -- he didn't ask those questions. Just about the items i'm selling.

I really didn't give him much time to ask questions, i directed the convo; played dumb about ebay -- had him explain things to me, asked him if he could relist stuff for me etc etcc...

asked him best way to sell items as a new seller. def the easiest i've had in a long time.

Awesome. So business accounts may not get all the questions everyone is speaking of. Hummm.

Good work and you should brag for doing so well. Congrats.

Can I ask one more question please? What phone did you use if you have multiple accounts they would see the call coming in right?

Have not got the mc999 yet but want to be prepared.

lol -- you want all the secrets huh? CVS has tracfones for $8 right now. they come with 20 minutes... i use them to set up ebay and paypal and any calls in the first 60 days. each phone gets labeled with user name and basic info.

my uncle did this a couple weeks ago.
he flirted with the rep, and she even upped his limits.

i was mad because i had so many accounts get destroyed, but he called with his first account and got his limits raised.
i just list my items on his account now though.
