Hi guys,

I bought expired domain of one kickstart electrical device project. It was well accepted in the public and media, but obviously it didn't go well as I bought their official domain. There are many backlinks, some form Wikipedia, also these are the metrics. I think it was a good buy for $20.

There are dozen of keywords ranked on No 1, its the name of the device but also these are quite mainstream words. What is the best way to use it? To build the same content and then continue to publish the articles in that electric devices niche, or should I just switch to the niche without writing about that specific one? How can I use well these backlinks and traffic? Can I do something good with it?

Thank you

Rebuild all the pages with original permalink from web archive.
Use 404 auto redirect plugin for the other URLs which are not available on web archive.
Then u can create new pages with fresh contents for new keywords.

If it’s their official domain they can always claim it back, best to do a 301
This website is on electric motorcycles and my money site is tech, is there are any benefit in 301 in this case?

I was thinking the same, but is it a risk to build exactly the same content in this case, as they were start-up company, not a blog

If this isn't trademark they can't bring it back easy. Personally I don't use 301 redirects now but useing good domains as PBNs

Either 301 to a page on your site about electric motorcycles or don't do it at all.

How many pages do they have? if not many, then hire a writer to write 100-200 words for each of the pages.
OR
maybe u could do another thing: if the domain is XYZCompany.com => then u can use the previous text - just replace XYZCompany with ZYXCompany :)

Rebuild main urls with similiar content or if you are brave enough with the same content. After 2 month add other articles related to your niche. Profit.

It's not a trademark I think, just an interesting start-up company that didn't come up. Is there is a risk in building the same content from it? If I build the same - it will be recognize from google but it's higher risk, if I build similar there is a risk it won't pick up the same rankings, am I right?

you could also rebuild it using the same niche so the traffic that arrives gets similar content.
then just put adsense on it, or some other ad network. additionally you can use it for backlinks to other sites of yours.

This might be the best option
