    I would appreciate some help.
So I want to rank some keywords, but I didn't want to start a new website, I wanted a website with some decent metrics so that the site will rank quicker.
The domain name isn't relative to the topic of what I want to rank it for.

    Metrics:

    TF 23
    CF/TF 1
    CF 23
    MAJESTIC LINKS: 167
    Majestic REF Domains: 5
    Moz Links: 12
    DA: 9
    PA: 24
    Moz rank: 2
    moz trust: 2

    Here's my questions:
    1. Do I need to copy the old website to keep the good metrics, or can I just build it as a fresh website, but it will have the good metrics still?
    2. Was this actually even beneficial that I did this, or would it be the exact same as starting a brand new website?
    3. Would an experienced / helpful member of this community be willing to look up the domain for me and see if there's any issues that I didn't notice? Such as penalties in place? I would really appreciate that.
    Thanks for the help.

    1. The metrics are based on the links, not on the site content. So all you need to worry about here is that the links linking to inner pages dont link to non-existing pages (404), either recreate them or redirect them.

    2. It's not the same as starting a new site, it will start ranking faster. However, I would have gotten a domain with a few more ref domains (20 at least)

    3. If you want, PM me your domain and I'll take a look. You can also check it yourself - just take a look at archive.org (all snapshots), anchors used and top backlinks - the spam is very easy to spot 99% of the time - anchors unrelated to the archive.org snapshots, overoptimized anchor texts, stuff like that

If you wish to recreate, go to archive.org's wayback machine and get a rough idea of the content the pages you'd like to recreate contained in the past....

Even if you create a new site you will still have DA/TF but you should try keep it in same niche that it was in before cuz most of the backlinks most probably will be from that niche only..
