I've been finding and buying powerful domains for a while now, but my new technique has unearthed some gems. My latest site, in the health sector has great domain authority, many contextual .edu and .gov links - it got was indexed in under 24 hours after adding content.

I'm very time-poor. The simplest way for me to monetise would be to sell some monthly retainer bolgroll links, but I resent paying 50% commision to text link ads. Has anyone got any alternative methods, hopefully avoiding any brokerage fees?

Need to know, as I've got many more in the pipeline. And if anyone's interested in taking a look at the site, pm me for more details.

If you really just have the domains you might want to just resell them for a higher price - selling links is a little half-hearted if you ask me.
On the other hand, if you have an active money site, use your domains as T1. This should give you some nice authority.

I just want a stream of passive income - hence the link retnals. I could sell up, as I'm finding a lot of good domains, but I'd rather just have a steady stream of income. Plus, I can't be bothered to wait for a toolbar PR update, as it's only metric domain buyers seem to understand.

And to the people who PMed me, I'm not ignoring you, just need to get my post count up to 15!

Message me the link please.

Are you buying new domains, recently dropped sites, or what?

Forget about Text Link Ads, OP. I'd start getting 100% for yourself.

Here's a cheap and cheerful way on how to do it - look for the top ranking sites in your domain's niche. Check the competitors backlink profiles using OSE/Ahrefs - more often than not, you'll discover some blogroll/homepage links in there.

First of all, contact the webmaster of the sites selling the links saying you're interested in buying and what their rates are. Once you get a price, find the contact details of the high ranking competitor, ask to be put forward to their SEO department and say you'd sell them some links at maybe 10-15% less the price of what you were quoted earlier.

Chances are that the webmaster will still be looking. It's pretty much cold calling, but would take probably 5 mins of your time and you're then building up your own list.

Definitely not new, and not neccesarily recently expired. Just powerful domains available for hand registry. Why buy new domains and build links when there's aged domains with incredible BL profiles available for the same price?

Nice one mate - good tekkers. I just wondered if there was a specific website where I could post up non-specific details. But your way is probably safer. I'm running cemper's link research tools, so should be able to find some blogroll stuff.

Do you think I should optimise the site around a specific niche? It's a generic health website currently - it used to be a respected medical, diet and nutrition journal, hence the .givs and .edus, so I've kept the theme as close to the original as possible.

You probably could give it a specific focus, but it won't matter that much. For instance, the finance category is an interesting one. You get people creating blogs to specifically discuss dealing with debt, or investing, or 401ks etc. - yet they will sell (and people will buy) links to any website within the finance field - such as forex or payday loans.

Hmmm. in that case, I'd say the sheer strength of the domain would be a big enough selling point. If I go to niche I might miss out on potential customers.

Think that's a fair point to make. Good luck to you.

Yeah if the domain is actually huge, just keep posting regular content and you can make tons off affiliate links or products.

If they are already established sites with backlinks etc..., then what's the point about getting them indexed by "adding content" in 24 hours? Getting a brand-new domain with no backlinks indexed in 24 hours is an "achievement" (but not really). It sounds like you are mixing new site dynamics with old site dynamics here.

Well, all I'm saying is that the site was indexed, solely by adding content, in under 24 hours. This is a good indicator of the quality of links pointing to it, as they are obviously being crawled very regularly and Google crawls sites it values highly very regularly.

but my new technique has unearthed some gems
OK, since you want some free consultations how about you share your new technique with us, so we can find some gems? We all love gems.

What's the PR, and DA/PA of this site?

PM me and I can help you sell blogposts on it if you can teach me your technique to find new domains. I've been selling health blog posts and I know exactly you can make passive income of the site without having to give a large commission to text link ads. I just want to learn your technique on finding health domains.

try to earn money at the same time. be a freelancer or a virtual assistant. you'll receive salary, then your not broke :)
