I bought a fan page with large number of fans, but a week later the seller managed to retrieve the fan page and delete my email from the system.

The fan page still exists as does the profile...so its certainly been hacked...any advice?

well contact the seller for first and make sure it is not a mistake and find out what happened?

if you know it is him then report the fanpage and make his lose it as well
if he tried to cheat you!

    http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Best-Way-To-Breakup-With-Your-BFGF/10150125193460398

Thats the page. I contacted seller he claims that a Youtuber hacked the page. But when I said if that's the case you wouldn't mind the page being reported and banned? He went all defensive and claimed that I would be breaking the law for reporting his intellectual property.

Note the seller used this fan page to amass 180k subscribers to his YouTube channel....his step 2 of the 3step code was "subscribe to this YT channel" to see full image...he even has an interview online about this...ad pissed off a lot of people.

Hey, I got fucked too. I paid 6000 for a fan page the seller did the same thing after 45 days ... I went to local FBI. Let's exchange contacts if two of us go after these sellers we will get more attention from FBI. See my post on the Shit List.

Why not just do a chargeback? Always use your cc or bank account when paying for things through paypal man that way you can always get your $ back if something gets fucked up.

I don't know how it was hacked but user "blackhat911" has a theory which sounds plausible. I made back more than what I paid for it BUT thats not the point, Im losing out on hundreds/thousands of $$ by not having it. All the seller is doing is promoting stupid YT videos.

If the page after the hack is driving traffic to his youtube again It makes no sense why another hacker should have hacked it. It would be obvious the sell

I dont think that the fbi will deal with that as long as facebook itself doesnt says that it was hacked and the fbi should do something. Will the fbi understand what value you see in that page through which monetizing ways and will stay at your side to defend it? I doubt.

I dont know what he did to hack it. Did he sent you something? But im not a hacker.

I think the only way is to hack it back or hurt him otherwise.

Did you get the primary admin account with the page? If so, did you change the password on it and on the email account?

It is quite simple to get it back even after the email address is changed. I do not want to elaborate, as I think if I reveal it, it will only encourage more fraudsters than save victims.

As far as the F B I goes, I had a great experience with them and they are looking after it. Maybe the amount I paid was large enough or whatever, but I disagree with the common thought that they do not do anything.
