Bought a house... thanks to Internet Marketing

Spreading the disease and then selling the cure? Brilliant!

Beautiful, right? It's brand new, in an incredible neighborhood a couple miles from a bustling city.

I have no magical success story here. No bullshit.

I'm 26. My wife and I were relatively frugal over the past four years and saved up a lot of money thanks to additional income streams besides my office day job (local SEO and online reputation management mainly allowed my income to double).

For this reason, we were able to afford to put down enough of a down payment to keep our monthly payments within our budget.

It took me several years of shit work and marketing failures to get to the point where I was raking in a solid income. Moral of the story? Just give it time and don't give up.

The end.

Hello dear sir sherb,
Nice home dear sir
Much love dear sir

Ohhh tagged in a sherby post! Beautiful man. I really like the color. That soft seafoam green type color is very relaxing to me. We didn't have those sort of options, as my wife and I went to a cookie cutter home builder and maximized where we could. AKA GRANITE COUNTERTOPS!!! (lol stfu @theRevolt )

Lol, well you saw that one coming ;) But hey all matters is you and your wife like the granite countertops... we all have different things we find valuable , to each his/her own.

Killjoy over here knocking my beautiful stone countertops, while posting from behind his stone walls!!! But honestly it’s mostly not necessary to have stone for manufacturing. However, if I was building my dream house it would be with Insulated Concrete Forms. What they do is pour the bottom slab flat, and then the walls are concrete also. From what I can tell, it makes a bunker. Until something comes flying through the roof, which is the only weakness at that point.

Continuing with Sherb’s house, I think he’s done a great job with it so far. Kudos to you sir.

Yeah that is what I am talking about. Have you seen the ones that also highly reduce/eliminate the roof weak point by using a circular design? More often than not it is the roof that first give in, which then pretty much means the end of the house, thus why they upped the roof standard to try to counter that.

Those are strong but hideous.

I was involved in getting a builder financing for a small subdivision he was putting up that consisted of all homes like that about 9 or 10 years ago and walking the site I had to hold back my personal opinion on the way those homes looked in order to get my point and a half on 6MM.

I'll take my stick built home any day over one of those and deal with the "fear" of a hurricane.

Builder's discretion I guess. Honestly, the ones that I've seen, all had the icf hidden. Wouldn't be able to see anything out of place from driving by because it's all framed on the outside like a normal house.

Not worth the 350k in my nicest opinion. but best of luck to you. better keep the gravy train coming in. or a few years from now you'll make a new post titled "How I bought AND THEN lost my first house with IM income".

Location, location, location for starters.
Funny you should say this. Up in Washington state, where I'm from the cost of living is insane. Construction for what I'm doing down here is only 250k, for a 2500 square foot house with a bunch of upgrades. Kommunist Seattle area real estate wants 950k for something comparable. Buying a house up there is nearly impossible because of the job to housing ratio is so fucked up. Here down in the south, it's nowhere near as bad as the income ratio to the cost of living. We would never be able to afford something up there, even if my slave wages were at the highest levels of my peers!
Florida doesn't seem to have the same problems as far as debt to housing disparity, but I haven't done much looking. Until last year, I thought Florida was worse for hurricanes. Changed mindset thanks to Harvey LOL!!!

Actually funny, I remember more hurricanes (think now broke even lol) in NYC than in FL , goes to show you.
Depends where in FL, just as always location matters can get cheap houses in the non prime locations for the others it is pricey. In the event that you find a cheaper house then it's made up by hoa POA membership fees such as golf, tennis membership etcetera that cost more than houses somewhere else

KILLUMINATI HARD AT WORK!!! Bro, you're right. Hurricanes have been hitting in all sorts of unconventional places. Wear your tinfoil hat when accessing this scary fucking site, geoengineeringwatch.org on how the global elite have been manufacturing this weather.

For what it's worth, we should probably just start a new thread on hurricanes.
