Bought "3dindustry.net" and "3d-industry.net"

Well the original posted was smart in actually buying the domains before he asked. I don't believe they are very profitable right now, but if 3D does become a big thing in the next couple of years, you might have a highly coveted domain.

to shanecarl: If you're dumb enough to post on a FORUM and ask everyone if the domains are worth buying, then obviously they're going to get snatched up right away. People harvest google and forums all of the time searching for new domains. Looking to park them, flip them, or whatnot. Now say that you purchased them, spent maybe $5 on each domain yea? That would cost you a total of what $50. But yet you were too cheap to do that and you weren't confident enough so you had to ask on a forum if they were good domains. You deserve it.

It will be a big thing. The question is in application. The most powerful application for 3D is just now coming with applications for education. Gamification. Flight Simulator etc. How about getting massive traffic from Farmville or other 3D world sites. For now you could host a beautifully designed report for sell on the warrior forum for quick WSO income. Since the terms are Generic it can host a forum for 3D enthusiast. What about star trek communicator = mobile phone. Technology moves forward. View the names as if they were the cover of your magazine then type who what why where and future of 3D industry into Google for instance "why is the 3D industry growing" or "what is the future of the 3D industry" etc take notes sleep on it and whatever you do think forward.

Just FYI, I've sold a 3D Domain and make an extra couple of hundred bucks buying and selling more instantly, to the same client that was back then.

Well this thread is like 2-3 years old, but I sold via Flippa, and the client hired me to find him more domains like these.

But SEDO is also good maybe.
Not raelly into domains myself.
