    Hi Guys,

I am a coder and also have a little IM skills. I also love coming up with great idea's and products i am looking into starting a project to make money.. looking for some feedback on what to build so far i have got plans together for

Ticketmaster bot - i see a lot of people asking if there is one on the market... now i was thinking of making one to sell OR better still i guess getting a group together to use as a service. Tons of money to be made there buy tickets as soon as they can be brought then sell them for 5x the price closer to the time of the event.

Ebay bot - Here i was thinking of making a bot that scans amazon, ebay and 5 or so other smaller sites and seeing what the av price per item is for each product and so we can buy low on one site and sell for profit on another.

Looking to hear your views on the above and anything else you may feel is of value.

    thanks

I was more thinking buying the tickets and then selling them online, you can sell tickets if you own then on ebay etc? or am i way off.. and of course the tickets will be spread out from people using the system. also these bots are at the ideas stage so thanks for the comment if it works out that one is a no go then that's great that's why i have posted the thread to see what can be done. Thanks.

Yeah that's a new idea how long has that being going on?

This started last century at least 50 years back - when you could pull off coups like that... making huge profits

This is 2013 - try it now and you will likely get boxed up like a kipper and/or lose all the money you invested...

I want you to make a bot that collects the salary for this month (and for all the remaining months of this year, and the next) of all politicians who are responsible for the shutdown, and send that money to the account of my choice. That itself will be the best money-making bot.

Hi steelballs thanks for your comments, well i know of someone doing the ticket thing, that's what got me thinking about it myself, he is making a nice bit of change.. and yeah your right it is no means a new idea at all.... but there is money in it for sure done right... the ebay bot i am thinking of (bot 2) seems less risky at this point.

Here's an idea for you OP. Ditch ticketmaster, it won't work. Instead, get yourself a list of quality restaurants with sizable verage waiting times. Pick a city like London or the wider SF area or whatever. Just find yourself some posh restaurants with an online seat reservation system. Keep monitoring your lists, book seats when they become available, build a service around it (accept possible preorders of seats, whatever), profit.

Disclaimer: Completely untested. This idea might be a load of bollocks.

I like the idea of the eBay/Amazon bot, that could be interesting. You should try to include what the top sellers are on each site and what the sell through rate of each item is. This will help to select a niche or hot items to sell.

yes looking into the top sellers is a great idea, i was thinking get the prices for a ton of items from as many sites as i can then check prices.

Yeah, you gotta include the sell through rate on eBay and Amazon.

Some more metrics to look at could include: Total number of sellers, average price,
total number of a particular item being sold.

Here is another idea, how about having the tool look into dropshippers and wholesale data bases as well, so not only are you able to hedge Amazon and eBay but also include all avenues of getting the best price.

You can find what is selling, at how much, what the sell through rate is (so you know if it is worth selling it or not), and how much you can get the items for.

It would also be good to calculate the total profit after all expenses are included, such as, gaypal fees, listing etc...

    Just try to streamline EVERYTHING....
