Boston, Or The Bahamas?

Well,

I'll have 3 months off in the summer and (should) be able to afford to go away for 3 months. But i'm torn between America & the Bahamas.

I'm just trying to weigh up the pro's and con's. I've never been to America or The Bahamas, but i've been to the carribean several times.

If i go to the bahamas, its basicallu SCUBA every day for 3 months doing marine conservation. If i go to boston its basically eating fast food & going to fenway etc. for 3 months.

Anyone got any reasons not to do either? I'm leaning towards The Bahamas atm, as i think 3 months is too long for Boston, but i just wanna make sure i'm making the right choice - its not very often you get to go away for 3 months!

Dont spend 3 months in Boston, at least spend 3 months traveling around the USA to get a feel for the different areas, Boston and San Francisco are going to be total opposites. You should hit some big cities: Memphis, Houston, San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York, Boston, Miami, Atlanta
 
Boston is nice but not 3 months nice in my mind. If you plan far enough in advance, you can get some great deals on traveling around the country if you use Boston as your strating point (bizcredit mentioned all the hot spots). the only advice i can give is make sure your passport etc is in order....i am a 30min drive from the US border and it is becoming a real bitch to travel across!
 
i don't have *that* much money unless i start working my ass off. We'll see i guess.

I wouldn't mind going all over. I'll price some stuff up, apparently internal flights are cheap as f**k, so if they are i might be able to sort 4-5 destinations out, which would be rather cool.

back to google it is!
 
I used to live in boston, As everyone said 3 months is too much for boston. don't expect to swim in the beach, the water is almost always freezing.
 
a week of Boston is more than enough, on the other hand I could chill down in the Bahamas for months at the time:)
 
Depends - I like partying and the bar scene, if you like that shit go to Boston - you can make tons of friends in your three months there.

However Bahamas is the Bahamas and you know what you're getting there.
 
Because i intend to live in boston in 4-5 years once i'm done here, so wanted to get a feel.

Yeah i'll just goto the Bahamas. I'll save boston for summer 2010. Then i can enjoy it more i guess!

And i didn't know boston had a beach! lmao!
 
i lived in boston for 4 years. there is really not much to do there. I HATE IT THERE! that is why i live in nyc now!
