So guys I am in kind of a struggle to find some boot discs that actually work for my computer and I am sure there has to be at least one person here with the same computer that I have with boot discs. Anyways I have a 2006-2007 HP Pavilion a1630n and for some reason my discs went missing and all the downloads I have found online once burnt to the DVD / CD don't work so if anyone could upload the 3-4 CD boot discs plus supplement disc it would be fantastic. I am working on a computer from 2002 which is to slow to run Photoshop, BH programs, etc and I really want to get back on my main computer.

If anyone wants a trade I got some skills with Photoshop editing, e-whore leads, etc. Please let me know :)

If you are trying to reload your operating system and the discs you downloaded don't work you need to add SATA drivers to the install disks you are using, HP uses SATA hard drives. I had the same problem when I wanted to downgrade from Vista to XP. None of the disks I used worked till I added the SATA drivers.

I don't remember where I found them now but It should be easy to Google or search the HP support site.

Thanks for the information... if I can not find them I might as well just go and buy the discs from HP for $20-30 just to have them in the case of an emergency. I think having a fast, working computer is a blackhat tool / investment.
