BookmarkingDeamon Not working - HELP!

I'm a total newbie to Blackhat and this forum as well. I'm trying take my first steps here and already stuck with some problem.

After a lot of deliberation, i finally bought BookmarkingDeamon, as it was highly recommended by several people here at the forum as well. And today when on my first trail, nothing seems to work.Let me quckly list out what I did

1. Used a public proxy to connect
2. Tried to creat account on all the social bookmarking sites listed in BDM
but by the time the account creating was finished, only 40 out of the given 105 got registered.
3. while registering, i didnt even get one Captcha images to verify. And I didnt even get the confirmation email for any of the registrations

4. I let it go and tried to bookmark 3 of my pages to the 40 bookmarking site, but at the end of a good part of the hour, the result shows that my 3 pages were bookmarked only 5 times in total.

So 3 hrs of time spent in bookmarking 5 pages in all? I was doing much much better with Onlywire!

Please help me understand if i'm doing something wrong here. Also if anyone can help me give a good list of bookmarking sites to use with BDM, I'd really really appreaciate it.

I'm totally broke and cant even afford to pay for any other tool so I'm kinda desparate to make this work. Any help much appreciated.

Public proxies can be unreliable.

Make the same run but this time without any proxy and see if the results are better.

Unless you're really slamming the accounts (which is stupid - just open more accounts) then a proxy really isn't needed.

The biggie I've found with these sites is the time delay between the login and the bookmark posting. Experiment yourself but I've found the shorter the period the better - 5 seconds or thereabouts. Too much longer and the failure rate really starts to climb.
