HI guys I just stuck up a site using cubecart as an online shop for someone, Bookmarked it with a few sites then submited to G,Msn & Y as found myself indexed really quickly like in a couple of hours or more, even started getting a few hits from G serps, this was tuesday last week, then yesterday I found it had vanished out of the index.......gone !

maybe it'll just come back in a couple of days, I can only prey...

any ideas please ?

best regards to everyone
:)

humm. for google, you can actually contact them to have them review your site again.
If its a whitehat site and doesnt have any bh method implemented, you should be able to get your site backup that way.

also, when you say you got de-indexed, did you mean you typed the following into googl*e
Code:
site:www.yourdomain.com
and see zero results ?

I used to confused de-indexing with "getting less traffic" day and that's how I found out if my sites were actually de-indexed.

hope this helps

Is this really a BH (as opposed to WH) question?

Regardless, it sounds like you got sandboxed, not de-indexed. This happens to sites all the time, when they are brand new, they launch to the top of the SERPs, then, after a few days (give or take) they suddenly drop way down in the listings.

My advice would be to just relax, and keep building links, etc., in a normal fashion, and give it a little time. If your site does not start to climb back up the results, then request a manual review.

yeh done the site:http://www.mydomain.com and its gone ! I guess the social bookmarking was blackhat-ish, but ive been doing this on many of my sites and never been deindexed for it......in fact quite the opposite with front page success with quite a few niches....damn :(

Keep in mind that listings frequently fluctuate; things like this happen all the time -- don't sweat it quite yet.

Well that changes things. I'd still double check both site:http://www.mydomain and site:mydomain but yeah, that sounds de-indexed.

Your social bookmarking probably tripped something that flagged the account (the timestamps of the bookmarks might have fit a pattern or something).

You can either start over, or (if you really want the site to work), you can take a step back, and then start promoting, link building, etc., but mix it up a bit, and see what happens. If your site does not show up again, you can re-submit it.

It is sometimes quite common for this to happen when Google perform a rollback, I see it many times with new domains I get indexed, but eventually they appear in the SERPs. My latest domain appeared then dissapeared within days, then within a week it was listed again.

It is quite possible to have been sandboxed, although I cant see this happening if you have performed only a few bookmarks, a few hundred is a different story. You have to be careful when indexing new domains to avoid the sandbox, it could be back within a month or two, yet it could take half a year for it to return, maybe even not at all, there is no guessing.

I guess one way to find out is the regularity of Googlebot spidering your sites, my domains get spidered daily, I think usually sandboxed sites dont get spidered as frequently, maybe once per week/2 weeks? Things could have changed as it has been a while since I got a domain sandboxed, so if somebody could clarify? If you have AWStats then that is a great way of checking for spider activity.

When I buy a new domain I usually submit 1 digg bookmark to get the domain indexed, then I let it mature for a month in Google before performing any SEO campaign, thus in the meantime I can work on my other sites SEO.

Either way, I hope your domain returns soon enough, it is frustrating to put the research into buying a good domain name and have it sandboxed.

You can find more info at wiki:

For a first post thats an impressive one. Welcome and keep them like this. Was and interesting read.

wait for 5-10 days.

One of my top 10 ranked domains vanished from the serps around starting of nov. Now its back and ranked higher.

I think there is some major update underway. Jerry West has confirmed something did happen. So i believe your site is another victim of it.

Try building a few links through web 2.0 sites in the mean time.

hey thanks to everyone thats contributed to this thread.......

Guess What ?

yup.......its back and even higher on front page than it was before.....just goes to show how hard it is to try to understand the G algorythm, lets hope it sticks and doesnt fall in next 3-4 weeks, I must admit Ive been getting varying results using the social bookmarking method, for instance I bookmarked a few pages on one site, did one page a week then bookmarked it about 30-50 times, and three pages were PR 3 with in a very short time, yet other pages have not been given the same PR, another inconsistency...

anyway all's good

thanks once again people

:)
