I recently bought a domain through Godaddy auction.
It had a good PA/DA/PR etc. and good backlink profile.

Today it was transfered to my account and when I accessed to the domain, it went to former owner's website.

I don't know much about it but I guess since the name servers are made by its own domain name (ns1,2. justboughtdomain.com) , it is pointing to the former owner's server and it is still up.

The thing is the site is (looks like) a typical SEO tier1 blognetwork blog with some out bound links with exact match anchor texts.
Is this fact itself a bad sign to keep using this domain?

Well I'm using it for the exact same purpose :p but there might be a reason why the former owner ditched it.

The site is indexed, and PR is still alive (PR4), and other than the fact it seems to be a typical tier1 blog, nothing seems to be wrong. Are there anything I should check before starting making a site on it?

(I know I should have checked what it was used for by using wayback machine but I didn't bother.)

    Thank you.

You said it is still indexed so check the positions for backlink's anchors. If they are ok just do your job.

You're so right. I should have thought of doing that.
    I'll check their rankings.

if the site is deindexed then there's good chance its pr would come to n/a at next update no matter how many authority links it got. i learn this lesson hard.

Throw away the domain, or point it at one of your own tier 1s.

Any domain that have been used as PBN before is useless.

K, so there are several opinions here...

The domain I just bought was used as PBN before but it has still been indexed with pageranks.
By the look of it it is obvious it was used for PBN, but it seems it was used only for a couple of money sites and they are still ranked.

I was planning to used it as my tier 1 (PBN).
I don't see any problem now but if anyone think against it please let me know.

    Thanks.
